I found a drivers door on ebay the other night that was the right colour and a direct replacement for mine, brilliant I thought, £70 delivered.

The door went a TNT guy with one of those handheld things, sign this he said then he went to get my door. He sat it inside the front door of the house and scooted off.

Then I noted a hole in the packaging, peeled back the packaging a bit and there was a big bloody scratch down the door and a hole in the cardboard packing and then the worst part a big bloody hole in the middle of the door.

Next time I'm asked to sign something they're being told to wait until I have a proper look. The door is ruined, I feel bad for the ebay seller because it's pretty obvious this happened in transit and I feel like I was tricked into signing for it.

I hope they hold their hands up and pay the guy back for shipping and that I get a refund.

Useless

 thats shocking mate!!!
Had the same sort of thing with TNT - my mrs signed for a new dog guard for my defender as i wasn't in................

Checked it when i got home and the box was ripped to shreds and the fitting kit was missing  - phoned up TNT and bollocked the person on the other end of the phone for such a **** service!!! In the end i had to buy a new fitting kit so i could fit it!!

Not happy! Get on the phone mate and give em hell!!

I feel bad for the seller because the damage to the packaging and the damage to the door lines up so it's vegas odds likely that TNT did it.

I don't think "can you sign this" constitutes a valid agreement when they really mean can you check and verify that you are satisfied with the condition of these goods. Because how can you do that when it's still in the back of his lorry?

I'm fuming, I was looking forward to patching my motor up on the cheap and finding the right coloured parts is hard.

I should say I phoned them immediately and because I had signed I had to contact the seller and I've spoken to him three times on the phone in half an hour and emailed the photos which he has forwarded to TNT.

Keeping in mind that it can turn a bit nasty when having people accept blame I asked that the seller refund me fully and that TNT refund him for shipping and hopefully take his door back to him as well so he can strip it and sell the other bits off it.

I have to give the guy credit that he sent the full thing with the glass and actuator and everything in it, even the door card. So hopefully he can get a couple of quid off the bits when it gets back to him.

£70 for a door?!?!

Sold mine for £20 complete. Which side is it? Sure you can get it sprayed for not a lot...

He should be fine getting his money back. Claimed off a few couriers, they initially say no but if you shout they always buckle

It was £40 for the door and £30 delivery

I reckoned this was much cheaper than getting a door or an outer skin and having it sprayed.

So if anyone happens to have a drivers door and a front wing off a 98 Discovery with the side mouldings and preferably in paint code 624 (Cobar blue metallic) you know who is looking for them :D

Just so you know, regardless of anything, the seller is 'responsible' for the damage in eBay world and has to refund you. It's up to them to make the TNT claim then, they are tnt's customer after all, not you. It's one of the reasons why I give people a weight and dimensions in my eBay ads so peeps can book their own. Fed up of losing out when couriers trash my stuff!

Ive had the same problem with DPD, although my parcel was not packaged correctly!! The intercooler was sitting on the rad with a small amount of bubble wrap around it. I paid £60 (From someone on here) for a rad and intercooler and this how the rad arrived when opened.

completely useless now.

a lot of couriers you have to sign before opening parcel we have had problems in work with them we find ups the worse never deliver full amount of parcels. Had a delivery the other week 3 boxes of paint runner brought two boxes in after taking three off van driver promptly stuck van in reverse and drove over. the one he had left on floor paint everywhere. The two guys arguing like mad haven't laughed so much for a while.
