Back at pikey wagon. after trying 3 pubs for food and not having any luck. we grabbed takeaway pizza for tea.

Had a great weekend. Marquee was brill even if I kept having to give Accy a piggyback so he could reach the fastenings. :D

Was great to meet peeps in the flesh (fortunately not so much flesh as B&W  The stove off was interesting even if Freddie did win it by a whisker.

Doc's friends didn't make it to this one. So he would have been safe anyway. And any rumours that their absence had anything to do with West Yorks Police seizing a load of stolen landies and arresting an handful of peeps last week. Were nothing to do with us.....

some pics from the weekend

Thanks to great company at the weekend, Happy Birthday BB .. seem to have forgotton in the midst of an LR show... Also great to meet Jess... meetin up for lunch at some point... Thanks to SteveD and Debs both mornings i was offered a cuppa tea as soon as i awoke and showed my face out of the 110. Good to see old faces and new ones. Thanks to Accy for bringin a crackin marquee, food and BBQ. Was great to just throw a couple of things in a rucksack and set off instead of travellin half the country...:D As always special thanks to pikey

Well just for a change we parked up on the M6 for a short while :) but were back safely now (via the pub with 90 and the worlds biggest box trailer), fed watered and in desperate need of a shower.

I think all the thanks have been covered really but it was great to see people that I've met before and new people too, LZ really does have some fantastic people on board. A special big thanks from me for BB, this and The B&W this year wouldn't have happened without him and if nothing else they are a great chance to socialise.

As always a big thanks to 110W for bloody tasty cakes, I still can't believe you made the trip whilst on crutches, and lugged the cakes from the beast when walking alone looked bloody painful.

The banter with Pikey and Fanny was great as always (Fanny, remind Kelly that I need £2 for a sticker that I got for her ;) ) bits where bought for crashed Discos & top looking Defenders and fitted around the camp whilst BB's trusty old bus got repaired, good team effort all round. nice to meet TC and Dylan for the first time, he's a future LR nut in the making, it's good to see a kid that doesn't just sit in front of an Xbox.

As far as competition goes, Pikey won the height off, Freddy won the Stove off and would have won the tent off had there been one..

A bloody good weekend all in all, the other half loved it too and is looking forward to the next one. Keeping in mind they LZ is 10 years old early next year we already have the excuse, we just need ideas.

A Little friendly competition encourages folk to acheive things that they could never imagine.......

I like to suggest a fook orf.... :D

Snigger I'll get her to pay up at next meeting. She says it looks nice on a scabby green land rover- it is vintage

I also have some time to "modify" the griddle I bought so it doesn't blacken toast in seconds and glow cherry red.
