Dunno, I left last night at about 3.40am and they were deep in the process of redoing the timing on the engine. Not sure what happened later on though

It might've been, but I think that the general consensus at the time was that the tappets were way out and needed resetting completely.

Timing was spot on, i checked it, re checked it and then checked it again, my first installation of it was correct, so that rules it out.
tappets need adjusting and Bump and OilDripper spent some time with me ( Langers n Lazy stuck around and gave moral support! ), we went through setting them up so i now know what needs doing.
Off out to get some bits then back into the foray of it all later on.

Finally it spluttered and kicked over!
And this was the initial result;
Lots of unburnt fuel with no exhaust on = carbon monoxide poisening. Deadly, but worth it!
