Landrover 88 series 2a - keep or sell?

Evening everyone.

I have been handed a Landrover 88 series 2a but I have no idea what I'm dealing with or what to do with it.

1965 year of manufacture
2286 CC petrol
25,000 genuine miles
only 3 previous keepers

Can anyone offer any advice please.....

How much is it worth in its current condition?
&
How much to get it mechanically up to date?

I'll be honest, not worth much, I got a half a cream egg an a curly wurly that thinks it's a lint collector, best offer and I'll even throw in a half bottle of vape juice to sort you right out, cherry menthol!!!

Genuine 25k miles. Used for the last 8 years to carry fishing equipment from one end of farm to another.
3 owners.
Last MOT recorded 2005 with 23,120 on the clock

I have been to 3 local landrover specialists in the local area. 2 quoted between 6k and 8k and the other 2.5k to 4k to sell.

Quoted 7k for chassis including brakes etc to get it up to standard.

If you're just here to try and flog it then you'll not get many sensible responses.
However, if you want to keep it and rebuild it then you'll not find a better forum.

We definitely do not want to sell but we have no idea what we are dealing with.

Any advice most welcome.
