I bet you get scammed by every garage you go to because when they look at you all they can see is a ****ing great big stupid ****!!!!
viking210 said:Well, I was a bit suprised at the amount of posts on this thread that I started, it obviously is a subject close to peoples hearts and about which they hold strong views.
I have to say though that I am pretty disgusted at the level to which it seems to have degenerated, which includes verbal abuse and foul language. Whilst I myself am quite happy to swear on many occassions, a public forum would be one area where a bit of restraint might be appropriate.
Perhaps brookediamond and treev150 are the best of mates and this is just a bit of banter, but it doesn't come across as that.
Don't understand why the moderators haven't stepped in - so come on guys, less of the pointless, offensive abuse and more of the positive contribution.
If you want to behave like drunken louts on a friday night, do it somewhere else.

Sorry if a bit of banter is offensive to others, and Brookediamond chill out i was only taking the **** with the first comment as a bit of fun.
Also i am virtually qualified identically to you and understand fully what is involved in fixing old and new cars.
I just feel £30k is an acceptable salary for what they do. As i'm in Lincs it is generally a low paid area compared to other parts of England.
Unfortunatley there are more bad mechanics then there are good.
