l322 warning

Since having a large bill for over 2k in August for a new gearbox
the nightmere that is my dream car continues
had a lot of smoke coming out the back of my car last week and since found out the turbos blown
another 1k to add the the hell that is owning a range rover
its going up for sale soon :mad:
 
sad day for the l322 ive been thinking of getting rid of my p38 to up grade to a l322 as my mates selling his 5.0 overfinch yet been told many things about the l322 most people say to stay clear of the diesals due to turbo probs and the amount of extra services you have to carry out, and to stay clear of the early 02 due to wiring faults not sure what to do lol
 
i sold my p38 to move upto the L322
i wish i had kept it
im going to sell mine now i have had enough of paying out big bucks for a car that does 5 miles aday to work
im gutten been put right off the range rovers now

im in ashford in kent
its a silver 1995 p38 2.5 dt manaul but its has full 02 spec 5 pleat black leather. full clear 02 light upgrade ,sport grill fully colour coded bumpers, 20 inch stormer alloys tv dvd head unit, ps2,free veiw tv,tinted windows,tinted wind deflectors,vgc just dont start at the moment lol
price depends if i get it fixed or sell as bits lol

also has non aged pers plate
before it broke had it sold for £3500 yet turbo went the day before he was ment to collect it. turbo now replaced but dont bloody start lol:mad:
dont want to sell as a non runner as you know every one wants to pay silly money for it
and breaking it will see me more money for sure

bull****-so you want silly money for problem unknown, if it wasn't totally shagged then why hasn't it had some effort ?

wow you aint reading it right fella I WONT sell it for silly money as i know its a bloody good clean solid motor thats got a silly fault that i might not be able find and fix but joe bloggs around the corner knows he can and offers me £1500 for it dont think so, i would rather strip every nut and bolt break it and get more money. and i dont think £3500 is dear for a m reg p38 with the full 02 spec upgrade and to say its had no effort i brought it just under 4 years ago as a bog standard dt no leather standard wheels and with a clutch gone so to go from that to what it is now takes a bit of effort ?

So If you think it's worth that much then get it fixed, Had you attempted to ask us what it could be people on the forum would help.
As it could just be bcem ecu sync, get a local specialist out with faultmate/test book
Oh and as far as I'm concerned a 2002 upgrade is worthless,ask for help,get it fixed or try else where as we have seen other people try to off load ****e before.
Nathan might offer you £1500 personally I wouldn't give you that for it

Smells of it's getting too expensive for me-need to find a sucker.

Remember the Vauxhall chap last year, he got stitched properly.

as far as getting it fixed there has been some people on here that have been very helpfull and hopefully it will be fixed.
i didnt join this site to off load my **** as you say, or to spend my first night on here having a slagging match ,i can go to the pup for that :D
it seemed a good site to chat about cars and learn more about them how wronge was i:confused:

A thick skin required here, unfortunately the regulars wouldn't agree with your valuation, but a sucker off ebay may.

So if your not mister dodgy,my advice would be
1) get it on test book or faultmate
2) If it is BCME issue speak to Irishrover
3) Avoid panic as most issues can be sorted
4) Chav wagon/drug dealer/pimp wheels not my cup of tea

Lastly welcome

within the last few months ive sold an m reg 4.6 fer £2300 127,000 miles mint (was surprised wi that), a 98 dse fer £3250 138000 miles also mint wi color coded bumpers wheels tyres vents lights etc etc (undersold, the same one a l/z member offered me £2300 for and you know who you are lol), a 1998 4.6 also mint £2650... best advice i can give? get the fooker running, polished n cleaned so it looks the dogs barlocks and get as much as you can but a non running 95 rangie is worth fook all regardless of what wheels etc are on it....GET IT RUNNING

will try window reset if no joy
1 and 2 are handy to know of
im not into chav motors my self every think done tryed to keep looking like a p38 still when i say 02 spec lights i mean 2000 type not 02 xenons:D
