But yu got summat sorted. You can now choose - do you want to go further or cut your losses and flog it for the best price you can get - or do yu want to go round to the seller with a baseball bat?

i just dont get it !! the gear box was great before thr prop shaft and vcu was taken off, have had to have a new handbrake cable cos back brakes were stuck, i hope i havent fixed one problem and made another, drippy has recomended a bloke 2 mins away from me so going to see him 2moro, i can hear winding and a clunk from front passenger side, not sure what to do, feel like smashing his bloody face in or seeting my rotties on him , was hoping i could sort out these niggles and it would be fine !! keep it a year then get a newer one! havent even had the log book back yet , so ****ed off , but still love the car xxx

get this bloke to do an engineering report on it - shud cost yu £60-£80 then you can decide what to do. You cant make any decisions until you know...

1) what the problems are
2) how important/significant those problems are
3) how much it is going to cost to fix

then you can decide.....

1) if you have enough money or time to fix it
2) whether yu want to spend that much on it
3) are you going to get your moneys worth out of it.

Ffs !! Now the f**king handbrake is bloody stuck on and the bloody thing wont move !! Have kicked it very hard several times , grrrrrrrr f**king grrrrr. :(

ive got dripper and sirus coming round today about 1ish !!! thank god for that !! really hope they can sort it out, the mechanic has ordered a new handbrake cable and thats being fitted 2moro, is there anyway i can free the handbrake by reversing and the going forward or shall i just leave it and lets the boys have a look !!x

Sirus or Drippy are your guys - they know that area - might even be able help??

:D :D The adjuster is on the inside of the car inside the centre cubby. If you dont have a spanner, leave it to them, watch so you know for next time.
As I said - download the Rave (link above) - thats the workshop manual and will give you valuable guidance.

I was wrong re handbrake adjustment - its not on rear wheels....

It could, of course, be the automatic adjusters are at the end of their adjustment - noo shoes required .

Why?
Has he already ascertained that the cable is the fault?
Has he tried adjusting the cable?
Has he checked the rear brake shoe wear?
Has he checked the adjusters are working correctly?
