Hi,
Just from a point of interest..................

After fitting a new head/gasket, would you re-torque the head after a couple of hundred miles? Or not?

 Most mechanics seem to say no now, why is this? Has their been a huge advance in bolts/gasket?

Just for interest purposes, thanks, Mark

Yes re-torque when hot after 100 or so miles and check the tappets when hot.
The reason for checking is if you are using a fiber gasket it has quite a bit of spring in it and will settle over time.
The copper gaskets don't need a re-torque so much as there is very little spring in them.
