Oh come on. The bible isn't even good fiction. It also alludes to a flat
earth. Unless you live in Kansas, that's not true. Nevertheless, Tommy
Delay and a distressing number of the House and Senate (all Pubicans, I
might add) happen to buy into a 6,000 year old flat earth. No wonder this
country is spinning backwards into the Fifteenth Century.

I wouldn't go THAT far, but I can honestly say I have never met
a truly straight homophobe. In order to really care enough about
the issue enough to be a radical homophobe, there has to be
some serious concentration on an issue that more normal folks
don't give a rat about.

There's no escape hiding behind the boogeyman of religion. If religion
didn't ostracize gays, there'd be no reason to "hide."

Suppose for a moment you're a married heterosexual with a couple kids.
Now, please describe in concrete, specific detail how letting homosexuals
get married would affect _your_ marriage and/or _your_ family.

Bisexuality, like homosexuality, is a naturally occurring (in all species)
condition. It just make one wonder.

The point was that a goodly number of people simply DO NOT CARE
about the sexuality of members of their own sex, and I tend to
be very suspicious of the motivations or real orientation of
anyone so interested in the sexuality of another dude that they
give a rat's patoot. Other than the issue of pink jeeps of course.

THAT'S what has always confused ME. How could anybody be attracted to men
sexually when women are so much sexier?

I mean, I've got nothing against gay men, but I think I understand
lesbians a whole lot better...

That's your problem Lloyd. People who disagree with you are automatically
bigots. You never leave room for any approaches to social problems other
than from the left. Just because there's some Nazi somewhere to the right
of your view (which, by the way doesn't make Nazism anywhere near
conservatism) doesn't invalidate conservative positions. You know how it
feels don't you? You pinko, socialist, commu....oops!.... I name call.

Let's be clear here. Teaching ONLY abstinence and pretending that teenagers
will therefore not have sex is stupid. The real problem for many of us on
the right is entrusting the sexual education of our children to those who
are products of the sexual revolution.

Is that true for the Catholic priests involved in molestation?

The pastor of my church recently went out of his way to explain to the
congregation what we should do if a gay attended our church. He spoke
for almost an hour, but his message was simple.

We should welcome them with open arms.

So would I, and we might one day get close to that percentage if the
liberals in this country get their way.
