Is it OK? - Difflock on and only one propshaft

Having already driven 26 miles home like it, am I ok to drive with the difflock on if I only have one propshaft connected?

why not spend a tenner and get the UJ sorted ?

In theory yes, but you're gonna cause wear and tear, new propshaft tomorrow, nip over to cannock..sorted, not expensive...

By the way...get rid of that picture...this is lz

If you've only got the one prop connected then it will be fine.
I drove more than 200 miles in Tanzania like this before we could replace the rear prop which got a tad bent fording a river. Makes for interesting handling characteristics when you have a front wheel drive only Landy.

I've got a spare UJ but I need to use the car tomorrow morning. Just wanted to make sure I was OK for a short while.

you've never done a UJ before ? - it takes less than 10 minutes

That's assuming he hasn't bashed the f**k out of the yoke.
As with all things if you've done them before its easy if not it aint always.
Looks like you'll need new prop bolts as well from the pictures.

Just seen the other thread http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f7/am-i-wasting-my-time-putting-uj-85827.html and the yoke is scrap metal.
Could have saved a lot of time by putting that pic up with the others.

Agreed, you are looking at 55 quidish for a front prop from craddocks...have no idea what landy u got as all i can see is a piece of jap **** on your avatar...

I presume you've never had one then? Cracking cars. The MR2 and my 90 both have different qualities but neither are S**T.

I sold the MR2 to buy the 90 (good job I didn't mention the XR3i Cabriolet I had before the MR2 :doh

Doesn't bother me if the Defender is a hairdressers car, I drive a Freelander.
Just thought I'd point the finger a you tractor boys for a change.
