Saint V8 is a major contributor to this site and brings a wealth of knowledge and practical advice. I suggest you would do better to accept that he IS being helpful, and apologise for your rudeness.

Otherwise, as Datatek (another mainstay of this site) says, 'feck off'.

Pete

Sorry but you, more than most should know how to conduct yourself on a forum being a regular poster.

I'm not some little chav kid your talking too, so I suggest in future, if two member are having a discussion or a slight disagreement , keep your vile and frankly unacceptable comments to yourself.

At least the way myself and Saint .V8 were having a disagreement, it was done so with mutual respect and a certain amount of decorum to each other.

I see your going for the stroppyist person wanting help, a winning combination to
1) not get any help
2) get banned

Now believe it or not Land Rover do not own or sponsor this forum, the people who have replied are not paid to take ****.

So either learn some manners or go elsewhere.

If you want to be rude and arrogant, LZ is the wrong place, you will get abuse back in spades.
Now be a good boy, go take your expensive motor to a stealer and prepare to have your pants pulled down.

I did list 6-7 in the Hertfordshire area.....maybe one of those were Local to him!

Without knowing his rough location, they could be bleeding miles away on the other side of the County or literally on his doorstep...who knows :D

To be honest your last few helpfull listings ;)you posted I have contacted, unfortunately prestige performance's mechanic does my servicing and is an absolute diamond, extremely thorough, very reasonable with costs, but was unable to help with the injector issue, sadly.

So what I failed to ask in my original post that may of saved our misunderstanding Saint.V8 was, has anyone had any good experience with local indi's, I'm prepared to drive anywhere in Herts or beds if I know they're thorough and knowledgable in there work.

I have had many land rovers, defenders, discovery's, inc RRS, and used many indis in my time, but if they fail me, due to either neglect of just lack tech knowledge in certain areas I tend to move on to find the best and most knowledgeable guy I can then give all my work too.
I just have spent circa £800 on an investigation with no sign of a fix on a issue I had, this for me is slightly disappointing as they are meant to be specialists, no names (no pack drill), so you can see why I'm asking around, however may I add, its not because I'm too tight to get my wallet out, if the chap is good I'm happy to pay albeit a stealer or indi, I just want to find someone I can trust.
And finally, my local dealer is ok but failed to notice a brake issue, that led my wife to having to swerve and nearly take out a oncoming biker due to a brake failure.
So for me I like to deal face to face, and talk with the guy who works on our cars, not go through a receptionist and not know who touches my cars that my family are using, call me old fashioned but now that's how I want to work.

Hand up, apologies to you Saint.V8 if I got you wrong, you do tend to get a load of gobby numpty's and keyboard warriors on forums of late and I tend to be very short fused and wary around them.
As for the rest of ya, bollox..;);):D (joke)

No apology necessary - but thank you anyway!

The trouble with internet forums and the like is the propensity to get the wrong end of sticks easily!

I understand your concerns regards garages and supposed Indy's....there are plenty of cowboys out there who know next to nowt and charge the earth, leaving the customer with a dangerous death trap.

Having tried a couple round my way I have settled on two for those occasions I can't spanner the repair myself, because I have had a brilliant service from both, and I have every faith in their team and their work.

Try as suggested to look at the spill pipes as they do split, and I wish you luck in your search for a decent Indy....I don't know Herts that well (infact anything north of the Thames is foreign to me :D)

No harm, no foul!

this is a common failure I understand.

if using OEM and you choose to reseal all injectors it has lots and lots of hours and parts are suitably expensive.

I think an indi will cost you around 2.5-3k.

Main Stealer, £ x2

Can anyone tell me the torque settings for the injector clamp bolts? Just putting a new seal in one and want to try and get it right.

Holy thread resurrection, Batman!!

dam it, my crystal ball isn’t working ;):D
