Injector leaking TDV8 advice required

Dear all
I can smell diesel inside the motor, not all the time but enough to concern me.
On checking it looks like the rear of the left bank possibly cylinder 3 or 4 injector is leaking as I can see evidence and smell it, there is a ever so slightly louder ticking noise also from that immediate area also.?

Could I ask, is there a local to me indi, who will take this repair replacement on, or if I have to go main dealer, what type of costs are we looking at.

Maybe one close to you - Hertfordshire is a big place!!!!!

It could be the leak off pipe, take the cover off and have a look. changing the injectors is an hour job for the easy one's and two hours for the hardest to get at

Thanks, your reply is as much help as a chocolate ash tray

I've phoned my "local to me" indi and he won't take it on, so I thought maybe someone more helpful, with experience of a Hertfordshire based indi on here may help.

I was very helpful....

My point was you are based in Herts which is a big place......depending on WHERE in Herts you are will depend on other members who can recommend a place for you....

No point in recommending an indy that is the otherside of the County is there??

So my post was perfectly valid.....There may be a few near to you, just depends on WHERE inHertfordshire you are....

I'm able to go anywhere in Herts, is I will drive to them, so anywhere in Herts is a clue to where I will go, and not anywhere in the country as you so helpfully suggested.

Read the post i said COUNTY....

you never said you are willing to travel.....you only said 'local to me'

So again, depending on WHERE. In Herts you are depends on what 'local to me' means.

I live near guildford so local to me is Guildford, Woking or Farnborough.

I also live in Surrey, but Reigate, Redhill, Croydon etc are not local to me....

this is a common failure I understand.

if using OEM and you choose to reseal all injectors it has lots and lots of hours and parts are suitably expensive.

I think an indi will cost you around 2.5-3k.

Main Stealer, £ x2

Not only is Herts a big county, but if you are located near the edge another county may have an indi that's nearer so Saint V8's answer was not the least unhelpful, now why don't you feck off and bend your credit card fixing your expensive motor?
