Many people come on here for sound advise, this is a technical forum, mainly for techie issues.

The last thing they want to hear is........... sell it! get a defender. Much of the humor is far from light hearted, sometimes personal and usually crosses the line from the outset.

Accompanied with the echoes of laughter from A.Heckler, plus full slagging match from Statler & Waldorf on the balcony.

We can all be keyboard heroes, if any banter is to happen then it should be directed to the Anything goes sub-forum



The big guns (established members) only get away with it cos this forum is'nt as heavily moderated as other forums are.

But fu#k me youre not allowed to voice an opinion on here and as we all know the 'Big Guns' as you reffered to them all p#ss in the same bucket and kiss each others ars#s so trying to educate them in the correct way to post and in what section is always going to fall on deaf ears.

Why ? Because they love to p#ss everybody off, or at least try too, then try to come across as helpfull or funny whilst blowing warm air up each others ars#s whilst never achieving either.

Its boring now, if they dont like/drive a Freelander then go back to where they are best suited in the tractor/Defender section if thats what they are into.
The problem they have is the users who use them sections know them to be idiots and dont rise to the baiting and useless responses they constantly post so they come into this one.

I bet most of the users on here in everyday life are quite normal and probably in some cases likeable but get them behind a keyboard on a forum with no moderators and they suddenly become morons.

I will continue to use the forum as and when needed and help newbies out where possible, as for the ''Big Guns'' fu#k em by the standard of most of there posts they are quite obviously ill-educated oiks.
 
listen up zippy, i'd say yer wernt that educated yerself mate being bumped for buying a vectra that costs roughly 10k more cause it has a saab badge on, lets hope yer water pump dont seize and take yer cam belt out with it anytime soon hey............................:D
did yer also but a rover 218 k series ina freelander body aswell by any chance???:D

as you have bin told many, many times before if you don't like sod off and find one you do like.
why should every forum be to your taste?
why should we all behave how you think we should?
why do you keep appearing on here bleating and complaining about the style of this forum?
why do you never post anything helpful in replys to questions?
you don't agree with the way this place is run
you don't like the homour of those that frequent the forum more than wot you do
you appear to have a large chip on yer shoulder about life in general so maybe its time you took the cowards way out and topped yerself.

Vectra, its way better than that.The SAAB engine doesnt use a belt on the cam pulleys, it uses a chain and as it runs higher boost than any vauxhall based engine is re-engineered by SAAB to cope with the additional demands.:p
As for the price i recieved 25% off list when i bought it so at £18k it was a bargain.
The wifes Feelander is the TD4 :D

I have just got my 911 C4S on Saturday so that also must make me un-educated when it comes to cars :D
 
Slob is right. There are plenty of forums out there if you want heavily moderated technical information and absolutely no banter or swearing. Pretty much EVERY other forum on the net is like that. LZ is different. And why shouldn't it be? All forums do not need to fit into the same band of rules and regulations. What we have here is unique and for the most part enjoyable. You don't need to stay here if you don't like it. Neither does anyone else who doesn't like it. If you think you can do a better job then maybe you could go set up your OWN Landy forum and that way you could tailor it/moderate it to your own tastes? But I bet you won't get as many hits or long term members as LZ... This forum works as it is.. You are not going to change it so stop bleating on about it.
 
Oh, and toppin yusselfs a fab idea..! Jist dint mek it messy cos some poor bastid is gonna have ter clean it up..

Why should the rest of us have to see you ill-educated responses and not reply.
Admit it man the forum isnt just for idiots like yourself, people with genuine issues who need help may want to post on here and may get put off reading your ill-educated reponses.

As for me i think i will stay as long as i like to continue to p#ss you in particular off.

I'm not trying to change the way things are run at all, my main issue is with users posting sh#te half way through a genuine thread.

If somebody wants to post cr#p then open a CR#P thread and talk to your hearts content i will then not open it at all and wont then offend the Big Guns sensibilities.

When somebody posts wanting advice on buying a Freelander why do some people think its good/funny to post an insult and then act like a pr#ck.

If its a CR#P thread i wont read it but its difficult if i'm looking at a genuine thread to then fine somebody has posted the usual sh#te half way through it.

THAT IS MY POINT.
 
My advice to noobies is if yer do top yerself do it this way for minimum pain and mess.

1st fill a bath upto the 3/4 mark, with the water as hot as you can bear it.
2nd sit on the end of the bath with you feet in the water.
take a stanley knife or scalpel and cut the soles of your feet and put them back in the bath water. then slide down into the bath.

The hot water will prevent the blood from coagulating, and gravity will ensure that all your blood flows out of your body and into the bath.

When your discovered and removed from the bath you won't drip blood all over the place because there won't be any left to drip out.

There you go who says senior members don't give good advice?
 
My point on my new car was the user was implying i was un-educated with regard buying the SAAB.

Most genuine car lovers agree the Porsche is a great car so i cant be that bad with my selections, Freelander apart that is :)

As for paying for a Porsche on a credit card not unless i was Russian.
