Positive Thinking
Keep it up!
Keep it up!
Centre punch is by far the only way to do this job!!!
Once you have loosened them they fly round
I would'nt be messing around drilling either as bolts are probably hardened, excess terrible, drill going to snap and go into your knee,if you do manage to drill it which I can't imagine, 9 times out of ten your bolt extractor breaks tooooooo
Had similar problem on my Disco II.
I took the cowl off and the problem disappeared. Put it back on again and it reappeared.
So took it off again and left out the cylindrical shroud, that hides the edges and its worked fine ever since (touch wood). Needs a bit of further investigation though.
Hi the Land Rover Discovery 'R' Reg that I ahve just bought three weeks agao has developed the same problem the igintion key sometimes works perfectly then it snookers you for ages before you can get it to go. Is there a real cure or is it just the way it is for Disco's the AA told me a garage would fix but I am not sure about paying £100 odd quid if the problem is going to happen again. The vehicle I bought 2nd hand is going out to Africa in October so I want it running right, and before anyone sayas why not buy a new Landy well we are a charity and can't afford a new one.
Any help would be much appreciated.
