....that the owner of the heating company came today to remedy the terrible service experience we had last week.
It started with flowers and chocolates for my wife and big apology for the actions and rudeness of his (now sacked) sub-contractor.
He then spent 4 hours completely draining, fully flushing and chemically cleaning the entire heating system (which is what should have happened in the first place). His apprentice (who had accompanied the "lead-Engineer" last time) admitted that the guy had brought flushing equipment, connected it, taken a picture of it connected (for the records) and then disconnected it.
The business owner now has to mail-shot all of the installations done by this guy on his behalf to check if he has done the same to them too! His words to me were "
This guys actions could destroy my entire business, and I am so sorry you have been caught up in this, and thank you for bringing it to my attention". The system has been fully cleaned and I have watched every step/stage of that and the pipework I did not like the finish of (not straight and popping out of its clips) has been re-done.
We have shaken hands and I am now happy to pay his bill when he presents it.
