An ambulance could not come to me for at least six hours so my gardener drove me at speed to them and in this way I managed to get into one of the hospitals for emergency treatment. They then referred me to the main 'out-of-county' hospital who took on my case. Because my radial arteries are 'contorted' an angiogram was not easily performed so they brought in from Europe? a professor of coronary specialism to instruct the floundering surgeons and an angiogram was successfully done. His recommendation was for me to have open heart surgery as the amount of stent work needed was considerable. For various reasons I chose to go down the stent route but that proved not to be straight forward. After almost three hours 'on the job' the stents were done and since then I have been completely pain free.
