Maybe go to ornery porcelain or china ones then. We take glasses of water to bed with us, just use a drink mat on top of the bedside cabinet to not damage the surface.

But if we ever have drinks down by the pool we have a massive set of all sorts of types of plastic glasses so peeps can have any drink they want. The obvious reason being, no one wants broken glass down by, or worse in, the pool. W got them from the US where they really do go to town on them. Our Dutch friends asked us where they came from as they couldn't find them anywhere and then bought some when they went there on holiday!

Each to their own, I have known other peeps keep a plastic mug of water by the bed. Never thought about it before.

They is plastic cups which hold 500ml. Got about 10 from sainsberrys near 20 years ago. Logical fing would be to change to glass. Me pipes were lead and water contamination were high enuff to taste. Running the tap cleared it but water standing in a cup went bad after a few hours. Now thats sorted eye is fascinated as to how me cups are contaminated. Assa nippa we used plastic cups so it just continued. Can't find anyfink that will clean me cups to get rid ov wot eye can smell, but can't see, when the cup is empty.

After all this time the plastic is breaking down and you can smell/taste petrochemicals perhaps?
China or glass always here. :)

Afternoon folks :).

Cut the front grass this morning, nearly filled the little trailer with the cuttings, chucked that all out on the common after.
It worked up a sweat and soaked my shirt. think I will leave the strimming of the edges till tomorrow cos its getting hot out.
That maybe the last cut this year as it will start to turn yellow and go dormant as it starts getting really hot.
Shark is in the pool doing his bit, bit late with the pool this year as we were away for those few days begining of the month and it rained just before that, but might be skinny dipping at the weekend;).

Front lawn done, just the back to do then I can start sorting some scrap out 🙂
