The last time it did it you "TAPPED" it and it worked, so you forgot it, now it happens again.
Next time it will be Drama as you cant get the dogs out.(ok I know you have the doors)

Take the card off and fix it properly.

J
Nope last time I did it, it didn't open at all despite many efforts with the handle, as well as locking and unlocking the vehicle over and over again. The time before I bashed the plastic in and it still didn't work until I'd done many, many workings of the handle when suddenly it opened.
Having left it like that I tried once and it opened straight away yessdi.
I didn't fancy taking the door crd off from inside the car but as @kevstar has said the "take the oval off and spray WD around inside" works for the D2 as well as the D1 then I'll do that. I have some silicon spray lube. But yes, eventually I will be reduced to taking the door card off.

And you're right, the dogs don't usually travel in the rear, they travel on the second row of seats harnessed in to the seat belts. If we put them in the back they only try and climb over the seats putting themselves at risk. ;)

Got me tratter back from the garage. Replaced a split hose under the throttle body, exactly like the one in @Hippo post. Only took the mechanic an hour, would have taken me half a week. Any road up, with all the other new bits, it seems a lot livelier. But it did take an extra day at the garage because the main dealer sent the wrong part -----.
