It's not too hard - I just bought a kit off the internet. There's even little plus and minus signs embossed on all the components so you've got to work quite hard to get it wrong. It's probably easier to fit to a shed as you can build it so you've got a sloping roof facing south, and it's less critical putting bolts and screws through it than on your house. Plus sheds don't have so many dormer windows, chimneys and soil pipe vents to get in the way as a rule.
I've been pretty pleased with my solar system. It feels good being able to scavenge your power out of the daylight.
My house has is south facing but my garage will be east/west when ive replaced the kitchen done the floors built my
garage & have spare time in-between I will mess about with a solar system.
