What tent did you get? I'm waiting on the sister in law to post my Durston Xmid from yankland. Buggered if I was paying VAT and import duties on it.
It's a very affordable lightweight 4 person teepee style utilizing 2 trekking poles for the center pole. About 6 lbs. for tent and poles together. It's called the Trekker 3 made by River Country Products.
I have both the Trekker 3 and their ultra light Trekker 1.

They dont make money if peeps pay credit with credit;). Those that could (read all the scumbags) would just get a couple of 10k credit cards then just do credit card ping pong.

Haven't had a credit card for years (some would believe I cant be trusted:eek:) But must say early days was hard as some wouldn't accept debit cardso_O.
But not the case now, and along with a wallet full of cash a debit card gets me through. Also suits me as the balance is what you have:).

Plus we cant be bothered with saying "well spend it on credit and we save money with the interest we get" really:rolleyes:.

J
Totally get this.
BUT;)
We earn points for using either W's John Lewis card or the Tesco credit cards. Plus we always pay them off in full.
Also the Halifax card doesn't charge for making transactions in Euros. (Which is why we have it, we use it for nothing else.)
The points we tend to spend at Christmas, and if you have a Tesco card you get lots of money off stuff when you shop with it. :D:D:D
So .......
Pluses and minuses.
But I honestly think the only minus is for those who end up paying interest.
Or going mad to the point where they go bust.:(

And I just found out that the 2.7 diesel in the Jag is the same engine as the Disco 3. Which is handy, cos there's sod all S Type videos out there but shedloads of Disco ones.

Those are super cheap if the quality is any good. Never heard of them before.

The first time I used the Trekker 1 it rained for over 6 hours straight overnight. Not a leak. Then I sealed it further, so it is quite serviceable. That one weighs just over 2 1/2 lbs.

My son has one as well. He uses it for backcountry hunting.

Credit card companies do their best to get you to keep money out from one month to the next so they can charge you for it. When I pay mine online it pre populates the 'amount' box with the minimum payment, and the other option is the 'balance on statement date' which is usually a few weeks out of date. So to pay it off in full I have to go back to the previous page and make a note of the current balance and enter it manually. It's like those 'nudge' techniques that are so popular with policymakers, to make it easier to do what they want.

We get paper bills and then pay by direct bank transfer so none of this nonsense!!!
Of course they are out to get you.
They don't make money otherwise!;)

Just spent quite a while trying to get a decent picture of the "snow moon" that is visible from the garden.
It is so frustrating to be able to make out the cratered surface of the moon easily with the naked eye but not be able to photograph it even with a long lense on my digital SLR.:(
I have had a little success, if I can find the time I'll put one up.
But I should have got prepared earlier with my fancy tripod.
Looking forward to dins, W's version of Boeuf Bourguignon:):):)

Exactly :) they wrote him off at 56 saying he would be dead by 60. He is still waiting, he says they have to be right at some point!
I guess they were wrong 36 years ago, give or take.:):):)
They also gave my mother 6 weeks to 6 months, so my ex and I put off going to see her, for the first time since we seriously fell out, until the end of term, which was 3 weeks away.
She died a fortinght later.
Idiots.:(..
