There are various theories on the Twitter thread but the favourite seems to be a combination of the acceleration lifting the nose of the disco combined with tyre to tyre contact. Basically he drove up the back wheel of the little red hatch.I did.. still don't see how it happened

Quite impressive the hatch didn't even lose a tail light.
Looks as if he saw a way of getting away quicker if he accelerated 'smartly' to get into the outside lane, fully expecting the red car to move off in its lane leaving him a bit of space -but it didn't!I did.. still don't see how it happened
