Morning all :D
Another day of screaming kids in store for us here as the second Son + kids is due to be hosted.
Yesterday was a disaster. The 90YO MIL was hijacked by other family members instead of coming here as arranged & agreed and we spent a lot of the morning trying to track her down.
All on my wife's side of the family of course. Idiots all of them. It just fÜcked up our Xmas meal prep and timing good and proper. Hey Ho.
 
Eye escaped from crispmus dinner shortly after it wur eated. It wur er wurryin time whens eye errived. Ah can normally park ma trusty hippo oot side their ouse un they eggspect it. But this year ernuvva one bort er car. So there beer stand oft while eye wur lookerin ferra space. 600 yards darn road be not gud enuf. Some burd wur moanin eye wur blocking road. Am movin it yer daft cow. As if ah dint know. Then burds mate came tover un said eye could park ont his drive. Eye bet he wanted ter make is naybors gelluce. Worra a nice fing ter do. Respect ter thy hippo. Av add enuf of relatives fer at least free hundred days.

When we were little we had ter hide fromt windows as the bin men wanted tips ut crispmus. They would knock the door so we wouldn't answer. Most peeps round ear did the same. Kept the lites oft until they had bin and gone. They would come round and lift the bag oot the bin un purrit ut side of road. Later ont the bin wagon would come. So yer had ter be careful not ter change inbetween.

We were lucky, ours came on Tuesday. They are not working on Wed or Thurs but will catch up those days on Sat and Sun.:) Their service is just about the only one we get up 'ere and I 'ave to say, it is excellent - until it snows! During ice and snow, they turn into gritters!! But not 'ere, we don't get any clearances at all - except when the Lord does it with a thaw.:):):)

We still tip our binmen for all their services throughout the year. Always the same crew and very reliable, they even put the food waste bin carefully back over the gate so it doesn't get blown away!:)

Years ago before council banned tips ours were more like highwaymen. Thas why they were avoided. Some thought that if they din't tip then their bin wouldn't be emptied. Funds were tight for most so most hid.
