No, I always wave back - used to that by having a motorhome.
A D4 seems to be one of the modern ones which are ignored! Another reason could possibly be that I live, and do most of my driving, in a land Rover zone where 3, or even 4 out of every 5 are Land Rovers!!

I don't bother waving at anything post Defender any more, I'm extra respectful of Series. Tuthers dont seem to get it.
For fun, I've started waving at other MX5 drivers in me hair dryer. Older drivers seem to get it, others are like 'oh, didn't we meet at the yacht / wine / baking / book club?' or 'wot? You ole grey twit!'
Makes I smile either way..
