Bosch used to be good but I reckon they are made in China nowadays. With sharp edged tools, buy the best you can afford.

Stuff is made all over and has been for many years. If yer buy through a propper shop it should be ok as it will have come through propper channels and not copied or be factory rejects pulled out the scrap pile. Bosch seem to be ok ter me. Eye sea the dewalt stuff at 2 or 3 times the price and can't sea what they have done different two-it ter justify the price rise.

I hear what you are saying but I've had numerous types of cordless drills and now have a dewalt, two in fact and they are the best I've ever had.....but they are bloody expensive though.

Eye bought a black and decker battery drill int 2011. Reduced from £80 ter 60 in sainsburys. Eye always liked black and decker but soon realised the drill were probably reduced because they knew it were crap. Not enough strength or speed. Eye moved ter bosch and have had success from them so far. Plane, chop saw, laser level, drill and reciprocating saw.

When buying an angle grinder eye went for the cheap grey one from bnq but took it back as the on/oft button kept falling oot. It was their own brand cheap one which felt a but rough. Eye got a black and decker one instead after that. Sadly the last bnd tool eye will ever buy.

As a kid looking at tools bnd were always cheaper than bosch in the Argos catalog. Bnd were ok back then but like a lot of things there isn't the money in the sale price to make them to the quality we want. So eye have lurnt the hard way on what ter buy.

As a home diy user eye buy quality but also recognise the value fer money factor. Defualt and mak-eater are too eggspensive for what eye need at the moment. Same for the top ranges from axminster. Eye think bosch are a happy medium fer what eye need. Yer notice the eurgo-nomics is much betterer than the alternative cheap ones anorl.
