Mines petrol. On diesels black smoke can be a problem but often it's a quick fix. Cleaning egr things and split rubber pipes seems to be popular. Sometimes it can be due to a faulty sensor.unbelievable, seen about 3 td4 gaylanders belching out black smoke today, now this you would think would make me gloat but not so wifes R75 diesel with the same lump did this yesterday misfiring and chucking out smoke back to normal today though common faults on these?
