unbelievable, seen about 3 td4 gaylanders belching out black smoke today, now this you would think would make me gloat but not so wifes R75 diesel with the same lump did this yesterday misfiring and chucking out smoke back to normal today though  common faults on these?
Mines petrol. On diesels black smoke can be a problem but often it's a quick fix. Cleaning egr things and split rubber pipes seems to be popular. Sometimes it can be due to a faulty sensor.

Post 221 now.

cheers :) got to be honest have tuned the car now produces 180 bhp, dont know if they can do this in the freelanders but the car goes like fook
That's a lot of power from a diesel Freelander 1. Get yerself over to the other Freelander forum. Loads of freds over there about smoke and things to check.

Be too cold and draughty for you soon enough though, that ickle dog won't keep you warm like a pig does:p:p:p:p:p
The dog was a corgi gas fitter. I asked him to come ere to check the central heating system. It needed serviced. It int my dog. I dun't like dogs. They tend to want to bite me. The dog has gone now. I likes rabbits but ours died. I have a backup log fire in ere just in case the heating stops. I got some sillycon seal the other day to do our windows. Will probably have some left for in ere.

Yer but no but careful yer dun't go round corners too fast of this'll happen. I can only assume from the tyre mark that the vehicle turned left too fast and the rear door opened and flung oft to the right of the photo, me lord. :pound:
