Not bad you got one of the above..
Never had a personal plate though got close once when a colleague had a Renault 5 with my initials on it. I offered to do all the paperwork for the change, even fit the new plates on her car. Her husband CBA so it didn't happen. (My initials are rare and/or flip off expensive.)
So I asked her to sell me the car when she changed it, as it was acksherly OK.
Then a few weeks later she was driving another car?!
I was rather (very flipping) miffed, asked her "whay?"
She said "You'd never have wanted to pay what we got in part ex."
So, we didn't talk for all of about 2 weeks.
Bizarrely the Anniversary Disco 1 has a number, not too special, although a letter two numbers then 3 letters, but the V5c tells me I cannot ever change the number. :stars:
Don't really get why at all, but it doesn't bother me as coincidentally the numbers are 81.
Which are the two numbers of the department in France where our house is! :):)
And we only bought it to do the towing of the suge trailer containing all the stuff that ended up in the house. So very appropriate. I am so keen to get it back on the road. Only rust prevents that.

If it says on yer v5 you cant change the reg its due to someone else taking the original reg off it so they allocate another number on to it & you can never remove the 2nd one.

are we talking canine here, or summat a bit rough that might end up at a dogging site? 🤣 🤣 🤣
Back in the day, when the "banquette arriere" was the place for "fun" we had to rely on the windys misting up, no Dark Star film available then.
I think even if it was my boss would have taken a "dim" view of me doing that to the firm's Cortina!!! 🤣 🤣 🤣

Mind he had a 3 litre Granada estate.
Now that REALLY would have been useful!!!!
He was married, but having met his other half, I did sometimes wonder. 🤣🤣🤣

Afternoon folks :).

So it contiuned to snow yesterday and the village power went out at 10pm, we were alright (jack):D.

Got up today and power and tinternet still out and, between 9-12inchs of snow on the ground:D, thinking that going to the shop for beer yesterday was a smart move;).
Anyway power/tinternet came back on about 11am so we have switched over to the mains to save the batteries incase it goes again. Cos forecast says we might get more of the same tonight.
The nice man from the village has been round with his tractor +snow plough and cleared the roads:D. Hes a nice man except....... the plough has now left us a 2ft bank of snow to get off the drive:vb-doh:, Never mind we dont need to go out, but if we did I would just bash it away with the fender:p.

But we are cosy n toasty.

J
