Here you go mate, Buck Ranger 112 with finger grooves. Good piece of kit. Been a few places in life with me, stuck beside me when no woman ever did😂
A very short blade for the handle.
And is it a lock-knife? The metal on the handle side towards the end implies so, if so, edges into illegality, unless of course you have a good reason for carrying it.
https://www.askthe.police.uk/faq/?i...nsive weapon per se,good reason is an offence.
I have knife very like it as far as the lock mechanism is concerned , except it doesn't work very well, Can't put a pic up as it is in Frogland.(Can't find a pic of it ont tinerenet neither. :() I only carry it around the house and land as it would be illegal in France to walk around with it. Its blade is much longer in proportion to the handle. It is not an Opinel.
We have several Opinel ones and bizarrely they are not seen as illegal, or not so much as it would take two hands to lock it!

(I know a bit more about this as I once broke up a fight, and took a blade off a kid, physically. The Head incidentally just stood by as this was going on, and once over he tried to discipline me as he "didn't like the way I took the blade off" the kid. I didn't hit him or throttle him or anything just held him until he gave it up.
So I checked and the blade was actually illegal cos of its length. But I had to research it. I nearly took it to show the plods.
At the "hearing" he eventually backed down. Especially once I proved to all present that he was not carrying out his duty of care allowing kids to run around with them, They were part of a Resistant Materials project, grouting trowels. The blade was like an Assegai. )

Things are getting a bit poop chez Steamer.:(
W may well have to have another op. (This is par for the course I have never known her have just one and get away with it, BOGOF rules.)
This would be OK, sort of, as she has had another problem for quite a while and it needs sorting.
But I will be 70 this Feb and W has organised a huge deal of a meal out, family will be coming from far and wide including France.
It is possibly the most expensive place in the area. I said she should just cancel it but she won't hear of it, apparently the non-returnable deposit is huge anyway. Peeps have booked hotels etc. But I cannot imagine enjoying it without her there. It would be bad enough if she was there but not eating, or eating very little. This in 9 days time.
Just seen a notice of an email from son who will becoming for the week, with at least dottir. Just read it, him and dottir only and not for as long as was originally intended. So that'll be a blessing.

W's birthday we always celebrate in France, as hers is in May, so when she was 70 we had a big BBQ with loadsa friends as well as family over there. All outside on the big patio.
Wish I was like the queen and had two buthdays!:(

That's a back lock and as such is not a UK friendly public carry, no locking or fixed knife of any size is. Good reason is also a grey area since carrying a bladed article in public, such as a a supermarket, is not acceptable regardless. The legals around knives are pretty complex. For instance non locking knives that can be opened one handed are illegal in some countries, so you get world legal knives, though some can still be pretty scary, for instance the Lansky Madrock.

I've carried a 'legal' pocket knife for over 35 years, purely as a useful tool and never as a weapon. Laws are Ok, but only of you are law abiding, hence the numbers of kids walking around with machetes, cleavers and carving knives tucked in their boxers. For them the law only applies after something awful has happened.

The Pluriel got me at it this morning.
Having performed brilliantly yessid, I got 3 miles away and the check engine light came on.
So I had to put off my visit to her.
Back home, Foxwell out some code that meant summat to do with an O2 sensor heater.
Faffed around trying to get the CiitroenC3 forum website to play ball. My stars what a nightmare. Can't see the screen for adverts, Plus it ain't very user friendly.
Anyway, after all this and a coffee to bring me down, I went back out to the car.
I had erased the code when I saw it and then rechecked it. It came back.
But what I had gleaned from tintertnet told me it wass OKJ to drive it, it just would be a bit juicier.
So I started it and set off, no check engine light. OK, waited and waited. It never came back on!
Phew!
I remembered that during the first drive the temp gauge (A set of coloured bars) didn't come up as quick as usual.
As the fault seemed to rely on a heat signal from the ECU I am now thinking that maybe the stat sort of got stuck yessdi after 120 miles odd at average 70 mph. And this informed the O2 thingy, so it threw its toys out of the pram.
With the later drive, where the temp gauge behaved as normal I think the ECU sent normal signals so it was happy.
Flipping tech.
At least I am getting better at it, a bit. ;)

Watch out for the blade length though Kev, three inches is all you're allowed.
(I shall avoid the all to easy japes at this point..)

I use a Milwaukee Fastback for work, one handed and flick open with your wrist. Religiously removed with the pencils, measuring tape etc. at the end of the day. Damn good knife.

I'd like to think that common sense would prevail, but it's all down to the individual copper sometimes..

If it is in a tool box with loads of other stuff it is "tool of the trade" so no argument.
I always keep my cheapo leatherman style thing in the door pocket, in it's pouch. If stopped I'd just show them all the other tools I carry in the boot lockers, and the trolley jack behind the front seats!
Two of the blades sort of lock but I wouldn't trust the locking. 🤣
I have actually used it on the road when repairing the Disco.

Just watching an old Wheeler Dealers.
He went to look at a Ford Summat which had an engine fault light. He plugged in his OBDII thing and, total fluke, EXACTLY the same fault as I found this morning!!!
So I am watching with a bit more interest!
(Focu ST?)

Yeah but, no but. Someone got done a few years back for having a Swiss Army Knife in his car's first aid kit..
Jus sayin.

That knife is not illegal at all, at least an ornery one. I have one in the glove box at all times.
Blade is not too long and it don't lock.
Maybe blokey's had a too long blade.
don't know enough about em to know how big they can get!
According to this some of them do have blades which would be illegal.
