I'll have to dig out my black armband for the battery's funeral procession. Will it be horse driven 🥺 or buried at sea with full debris of honours 😟😭😭😭

Got 50 batteries getting weighed in tomorrow as well as a lead keel off a scrap floating caravan & big stainless tank. I sat the lead keel on a pallet & it collapsed  🤣 🤣

The surgeon rang me a little while ago.
Op done, 30 to 40 mm of bowel removed, stoma in position BUT it may well be possible to reconnect her plumbing up some time in the future. So I think this is a success. :):):)
She is not up on the ward yet but once there and compos mentis she will be having a visit.
So thanks for all the good wishes.
Things could deffo have ended up worse.

Best wishes for your wifey, & I hope she has a speedy recovery. :)

On a good clear night here we can see the entire milky way so many stars and planets it makes you feel like a speck of dust the colours are amazing I keep threatening to get a telescope, on a side note I worked on two of the domes well re-built them at Cambridge observatory was there for 6 months scaffolders had fun trying to make square things fit a round dome surprising how large thay are, well worth a visit on thear open days and nights 🎇🎇
Nice to know you went to one of the better universities

We see it out the back too. It’s a great site.

Often tell friends in the UK the amount of stars/Sky we can see and they don’t believe it.

J
People that have stayed with us are amazed by it and sit out side at night just to look at it , and the mandatory drinks of course, but when you see it you can but think that there must be other life formes out there 👽👽👽

I now cannot be sure if he said 30 to 40 mm, or 30 to 40 cms!!!
Having now seen W she doesn't know either.🤣
TBH I expect it will have been the latter.
We will see!
Thanks for the good wishes, mate.:):):)
She is surprisingly chipper and when the nurse came to do bits and pieces I caught a glimpse of the wound site. amazingly neat and small. Looks like they might have done it with the knife, fork and telescope! :):):)

Done a lot at Kings , trinity, Magdalen ,Cavendish, just to name a few nice to be wanted ,all water under the bridge now 🎓🎓🎓
:):):):)

One fine day I'll go to totherun, to the Bodleian. Just to poke around and see my books on their shelves.
Oops! Just discovered there isn't "a" Bodleian, apparently it is a collection of 26 libraries across Oxford .
Hmm, I'd have to eat humble pie and ask which one they are in!!

Can't knock the architecture though! In both of our famous uni towns.

(when I was a rep all I saw was the car factory at Oxford, not so pretty! Boy does that date me!!) 🤣 🤣 🤣

Bin watching a few scientists on this issue, and they do seem eventually to think that, acksherly, the chances are amazingly slim cos it would take too many coincidences for it to occur, well, like it did on urf. :(
