Changed the spark plugs in 'er indoors Corsa this morning, so that's all this years routine vehicle servicing finished. Didn't get them done while doing the main service last month. Now thinking about trimming the hedges along the Wimblowdriver Towers boundary. Might even get past the thinking stage.

...the new dining room chairs have arrived. :)
Son's partner has asked for the 6 outgoing cast-offs (perfectly OK, but leather has been ripped-up by the moggies and the chairs now have slip covers on them).
I was excused shopping duties today because I am "ill". :)
Do they just have drop in type seats or is the leather over the back as well?
Cos it's easy enough to redo the seats.
Mind when I did my dad's cast off, (a very good quality suite and I got the lot so well worth doing we still use it.) I had to re-cover the backs too, but they just came out with 4 screws hidden behind dowelling. Easy enough TBH. ;)

Sadly its leather all over, hence the slip on covers.
The new cats used the seats and seat backs as scratching posts when they arrived. :(

well...
Spent a while today trying again, unsuccessfully again, to get into my Barclays accounts.
This being cos I am rather late in moving dosh around before tomorrow's budget.
Ended up on the phone to some blokey who agreed that the wimmins who was supposed to send me two missives, sent the one and not the other, without which I couldn't even log on.
So once it was obvious that the blokey couldn't really help me very quickly I decided to drive to ringwood, our nearest, and part time, branch tomoz a.m. to empty the account.
What a state of affairs.
Blokey said "If you have the app...." etc etc. Stick that my friend. Online at home on a pooter whose batt isn't going to fail in the middle of a transaction, that is not going to get lost or stolen from my pocket or my car is the way I wanted to go.
So be it.
Anyway he is going to report it as a complaint, etc. They will be losing a not incosiderable amount of dosh from their coffers as a result of their incompetence.

Grr.
Rant over!

Hedge trimming started. Taking about two feet off the top of an eight feet high beech hedge. With hand tools.

Morning All. :D
Took lots of meds and got the streaming eyes and nose to cease; so a reasonable sleep. :)
Still doing it this morning though :(
Have a terrific Tuesday! :D

Best of luck wiv it mate. ;)
W too woked up wiv less voice than usual.
And she did it in the middle of the night but didn't do anything to help it cos "she didn't want to wake me up" as if I'd a cared.
Anyway she now has a huge collection of things to gargle with and lozenges of varying flavours. I found them all over two bathrooms.
As well as Beechams powders if I can persuade her to take one, or more, gargling with it as she does!
Get some of this. Guaiacol an Codeine an absolutely disgusting.
Iffn it dunt make you feel better, you'll certainly wish it did..

When I was an ickle-boy and we went back to live with my Nan after me Mum was gone she used to give us this stuff called Liquifruta it was really horrible. She also used to stand us in front of the fire and rub us with camphorated oil.

If things were really bad we got rubbed down with White Horse Liniment.
Happy days! :D

W couldn't get the tumble drier to work this morning.
Hmm!
I fiddled about doing the obvious stuff while she tried to dig out the handbook etc.
She finally found it.
Went to the "troubleshooting" page (s).
Went through everything, No luck.
I had said to her that I thought the load may be a bit heavy, she said that the washing machine is a 8kg machine and the drier is a 9kg machine so it has to be OK!

You are all ahead of me, now.
Removed some stuff and of course it sensed the weight and started up.
Tech I suppose it has to be said, looking after itself.
Shame they didn't fit an "overweight" warning light. ;) 🤣

Also, gots bit by the table saw this mornin. The undercut blade is as good as invisible and I wasn't concentrating. First aider went away while I trimmed oft the ickle flappy bitta skin that was a goner, jessie. 🤢
Oh dear.:(:(:(
I lost 8mm off the end of my left index to a plunge saw a while back. And it was slowing down in mid air when it happened, no power to it at the time. I'd decided I couldn't make the cut I wanted to make with it set up the way I had done so, so I was lifting it away from the work. The left hand side of the base plate is a damn sight narrower than a normal circular saw, as I discovered.

Hope you lost a lot less than I did.

Serious sympathies, mate!. ;)
