Soz about the gout, mate. I have never had it but know peeps who have and they say it hurts like mad.
According to what I just read your severe op may be partly or even wholly to blame.
Need to see a quack about it, ifn you hain't already. :(:(:(

Now here's a thing for all those talking about Disco 3s and TDV6 engines.
According to nextdoor's guru who will be rebuilding the bust engine, D3s up to 2006 are OK cos the cranks in them are better and were made, not sure where, but I think somewhere in Europe, but from 2006 on they are Chinesium. So mebbe best to get an early one!!

He also recommends an uprated oil pump.

I get gout periodically in my left hand and wrist, hurts but normally can get it under control with paracetamol, codeine and ibuprofen. Lasts about a week. Problem is I’m not allowed ibuprofen while on the chemo drugs so the inflammation will run riot! Seeing the oncologist on Tuesday so have to put up with it until then.

The vultures have started by the looks of it, the wee lady in the next cottage from us went into a home this year.
Hardly seen her family here in 20 years, only her niece would come regular & one other chap now n again.
Now they are here every other day doing the garden & emptying the house getting it ready to sell me thinks.
So sad.

Need to sell it to pay for the home fees.
Or to rent it out, unfurnished.
Or mebbe she's died and they are sorting it out to sell. :(:(:(

Where's a good place to buy a bath from? When i moved in, i replaced the nasty effort with a wickes one.. pile of junk!! It's cracked and starting to discolour:(
We got ones from B&Q years ago. Some from the better end of the range, some bog-standard. TBH they are all OK.
But there are special bathroom shops. Vicoria Plum. Victorian Plumbing. etc.

Depends what you want. I'm afraid 'you only get what you pay for' is very true when wanting a good bath.
I recommend a Bette (?) German I think. Mine is a high quality steel one and I highly recomend it from personal experience. It is heavy and a little larger than the normal 'plastic' ones they usually sell in the diy stores.

There's no defined age, mileage or vin number. It happens across the whole range of years. The uprated oil pump reduces the pump cracking problem but dun't stop the bearing slipping. When it slips it blocks oil supply. The crack etc gets hot. One of a few fings happen. Crank snap or seize being the main two. Happems in lr and jag with the same engine. Probably a very low % had it, but magnified by the web. Lots of theories online about more frequent oil changes etc. Many wiv high mileage never bin touched.

Since I am having problems updating WhatsApp on my mobile, my neighbour who used to work for Orange and is a whizz with pooters came round with a couple of phones and tried everything he could to make it work.
It just won't although he seems to have been able to do it on the lappy.
So maybe W will get my Whatsapp message I sent her and try contacting me that way. (I have never spoken into my pooter before, that'll be new!)

He thinks my phone is too old to be able to do stuff and he is prolly right. I'm having to change it anyway as you all know. So yet another reason to do it.

But still have a problem with internet speed but cannot get Orange to come up and check it out without a Frog mobile, which I have but the PAYG sim is dead so I need to pay about €10 just to get them out, as they arrange the visit entirely by mobile and won't ring a Brit number,
God I hate tech, as usual.
As fones age it gets to the stage yer can't upgrade the android firmware, which is required fer new apps or security. They dun't really know wot the future holds. So its difficult to spec a fone design now, that will oot last the demands of firmware changes and owner use int future, in say 6 years time. Thats a long time in technology. The cheaper the fone the sooner it happens. Buying mid spec is the way to go if yer want to keep it.

Made about 1.25 litres of tomato juice. W don't like it but I does.
Getting seriously bored now which isn't like me. Don't much enjoy my own company and the dogs though lovely are not great conversationalists. Still it was nice chatting with the neighbour.

He now cannot decide between two Mustangs he has seen on " le bon coin" (Frog equivalent of fleabay).
One is in France tother is in Holland. (He sold the house in the Azores and is spending money like a man with no arms!) He has made an offer on one but it is having some rust repaired. I could never do this, buy a car sight unseen except the bits a seller shows you. How peeps like him and @kevstar do it I just don't know! Still, just a wee bit jealous as I have always had a bit or a yen for a muscle car. Prefer the brit ones thougb as they tend to have more "Clarss"!!

Looks like dins might be about ready. Chicken curry.
See yez!
:) :) :)

Spud surprise to night. Jacket spud wiv oxo gravey.

Not seen me friend for the last 2 days. Heard one climb the fence twice but not there when eye looked oot. About 2 hours ago he appeared. Had 3 nuts so far but slow to return. They dun't sweat like we do. They bask int sun and spread them selfs flat on surfaces to help them change temp. Well thas wot the web ses. He's taken to basking on me garage apex. Lie's there still, watching the world go by unless somefink scares him oft. He's gorra good view up there. Can also watch me int kitchen.
