Get one wiv a balanced good netwurk of stems. Eye would normally get the discounded poorly one because eye feel sorry ferrit.

The miners are back. Bin ter bnq and wix for a look at fings and ant powder. Gottid some small blue pellits made of sugar un poison. They eat en and take em to the nest before snuffing it.
Hope squiggles don't think they tasts nice.
We once nearly lost a puppy to slug pellits!

Had a beer with some fellas I int seed for years last night. One, we'll call him Andy, coz that's his name told me he'd had a stroke about seven years ago. He was lucky, since he was already in the hospital due to fluid on the lungs and AF (180bpm, eeep). He answered a call on his mobile to find he could no longer speak, which was odd, and waved a nurse over.. 'you're having a stroke' and a three alarm fire scenario ensued.

He's ok, but is still on half a dozen pills to control this and that, he's just fifty eight.

Point is, he re-evaluated his life and no longer works silly hours or weekends, avoids stress and will retire in a couple of years. He's content to still be here and not like some he saw on the stroke ward. 'Good enough..'
He did well. Good attitude to have.
Our Dutch friend with the weird heart problem feels exactly the same. Better to have a problem, know it and get it sorted than to suddenly die of it.
Our Brit dog groomer's bloke, a roofer suddenly collapsed on a roof in the rain with what was probably a bust aorta, he wasn't even 40 years old. Opposite neighbour, a few back, very fit bloke exceedingly proud of his physique collapsed at a bar in a pub and died. Same fing.
Really glad blokes of my age get tested but can't help thinking it ought to be part of a wider plan.

Microsoft do test fings. So does crowdstrike but this one slipped frew. Any medium to large company will control updates oft their own wus sus server, having tested it themselves. It seems a lot of companies dun't, from the count of thems caught oot. Ours does.

Tis an easy fix but its manually done on effected machines.

There's lots of spoof stuff about microsoft poor testing. Fings would be a lot worser if it were true. Software is so complex these days wiv the way it interacts wiv fings.
Well as you know, W was extremely involved in testing and the lack of it, in her professional life. Apart from fraud and people fiddling things to make systems work, and lack of other necessary things like back up plans and "stuff".

Twas a pretty big "one" to have slipped through. In its effects if nothing else.

Just been sent a copy of Grandson's bac marks and cert.
He did brilliantly in everything even his French oral but not so good in his written French.
Mind you, I got on line and looked at the bac paper.
I SINCERELY would not have liked to have had to answer any of the questions!
Of the three he chose the right question, I have to assume he hadn't read enough "Idiot's guide to Rimbaud".

The French REALLY are so far up themselves when it comes to literature.

Cleaned the pool this arvo.
It is up to about 24 degs so I think we are about to have our first dip of the season.
Have a lovely evening folks!!:):):)

Waste not, want not. Worktop offcuts Part-1.

Had a bit of a "wobble" this arvo.
The black dog paid me a call. :(
Really hate it when this happens.
Wife asked me what was up and I really struggled to put it into words.
Finally got it expressed and expunged and back on an even-keel. :)
It was all about coping with the transition from "do anything gung-ho bloke" to feeling like I am semi-invalid status.
I am just so shocked at how nadgered I have become in so few years.

Quite!
One massive house is about the same as two reasonable 4 bed places. so guess what I spend my time doing?
Flipping repairs and maintenance.:(
We honestly thought that getting a new place built with plastic windows etc would stop all that!
Huh!:(

Thats no good if you have to spend all your time doing that youd be better going back to work. :p

That looks really nice and goes so well with the flooring. :):):):)

Now have the old worktops ended up as part of your workshop? Hmm?
Cos I know many who do that!!!;););) AND the cupboards, drawers and stuff!🤣🤣🤣
No, I have no more room and I am all work topped up in the garage/workshop.
I offered them all for free locally but no takers, so I cut them up and took them to the tip.

Very next week a lady finally called and asked "are they still available?" LOL.
