Got my noo sink errr its too nice to put dirty auld dishes in so we will be eating from paper plates n plastic sporks
Is a pity, I agree. Heritage seems to carry a premium. Even the little Dinkys I pick up aint cheap. Seems 109 pick ups are a plenty..Have just been to 3 supermarkets looking for toy landrovers for my son's birthday... Couldn't find anything and very little choice online and mostly going for £20 or more. Got every brand from supercars to ford / jeep / hummer / VW / Audi etc etc for £2-3 each, but no land rovers - what am I missing?
Only want a small scale like 1:50 - 1:80... eventually bought some second hand off eBay but still surprised that these aren't on more UK shelves - British heritage anorl that
Go online and try here: https://www.oxforddiecast.co.uk/collections/land-rover
I have a 1:76 scale P38a in the same colour as my actual Rangie.
Or an entire evolution collection.

Weather here very off and on.
Just got back from Soual and Castres where I had to go to find cheaper fencing and two pronged nails.
Bit of "un trot" as the froggies would say.
3 x 20 metre rolls of 1.5 metres high. €120. But boy could I have paid more, like double or even more than that.
The only "crampillons" they had was a 2 kg box for €24. No way José. (And I asked him where they were and had to tell him what "crampillons" meant!) He knew where they were once I held two fingers out to him and said "nails like that"
So off to Monsieur Bricolage where they have a "fill the bag for €9", so I did. Dunno how many I got but prolly about enough. I know I have some somewhere but jiggered if I can remember where. As W says, I usually keep nails etc indoors. But if I find the bucket with the barbelledeewire in it, I might find them!
So this p.m. I have to mend two of W's planter box things which have not weathered too well, nailed together with staples thinner than I would use for paper, of course!
Have a good arvo folks!
They have 400 landys Wonder how much the whole collection is.
...I just got off the phone with Bapu the call centre agent for LV insurance.
He has tried (but failed) to convince me that LV are excellent value for money and that the 42% hike in the insurance is a good deal. Apparently, the quotes I get for fully comp from other insurers do NOT have the same wonderful quality of service attached to them. When I pointed out that The policy offering was essentially the same but the opposition only wanted £275. p.a and not £417 he offered to see if he could drop my price. After a minutes tooth sucking and shuffling from foot to foot he offered a reduction of <£30. I declined his offer and advised that all policies I have with LV will go elsewhere when they come up for renewal.
One of his arguments was a strange one. That the increase in car thefts meant my policy must go up.
I asked if perhaps they should stop insuring cars more likely to get nicked or just put those policies up accordingly and leave the rest of us with vehicles unlikely to be stolen alone. He said no, WE all had to pay for their poor underwriting decisions.
Shame, I've been with CSMA/LV for over 30 years. So much for customer loyalty.
Talking of them see that some go for decent money
