Ha, she spent that years ago when we were together, worst case I'll loose 15 quid a week but I'll negotiate with some extra cash from the houseWatch your pension .
Just as there are no two marriages the same, there are no two divorces the same.Ha, she spent that years ago when we were together, worst case I'll loose 15 quid a week but I'll negotiate with some extra cash from the house
You'll need the nelmet anorl down ere..Morning All.
You need to be wearing lead weighted diver's boots here today or you will be swept away by the wind.
A shopping day.
Have a great day!
What a shame! At the right hand end in the second pic it looks as if a scratch is almost trying to become a crack.OK, I have broken the Cat-Weazel trike.
Well, not "Broken-Broken", just broken into 2 halves and boy was it a struggle!!!
The boom would not just "slide" back and forth once the QR clamps were undone like it is supposed to at all.
Instead I got 2 of my long-term mates (Brute Force and Ignorance) to wiggle it back & forth and pull it apart forcibly.
Eventually it gave in and I was able to see the state of the boom insert (shock-horror) .
Here are some pictures for you.
As you can see there is some significant scoring, paint damage and "bubbling" on the insert.
I have buffed as much as I can off with a scotchbrite like wheel and some WD40 and i will wipe it down with IPA (no, not the beer).
I will give it a thorough polish with Mer (car polish) before reassembly.
Interestingly(?) as discussed with a mate this morning there were very (very) thin plastic inserts inside the main boom into which the front section is inserted. One is "screwed-up and rumpled" so I had to remove it. I wonder what can be done to insert another wayyyyy down in that tube?
In the picture below you can see the "insert strip" at the entry point for the front boom into the main tube.
Anyway, that is all I had time/energy/enthusiasm for today. The trike is now "unrideable" and I am waiting for parts to arrive before I attempt to put it all back together. It is still better than "working" at a job you detest though.
Well everyday is a school day.
and I now know that "Tam" in Still Game is based on @kevstar!
(Only joking Kev!)
Shame we don't get this south of the border, all we get is "2 doors down" which is very repetitive in its themes and characterisations.
Naw, just catching up as we've been without tinternet since we arrived.
The basin no longer leaks and I have fetched the machine and the sack truck, chatted to the neebs who look after it and got their opinion on the nextdoor crew and their tree topping. Did a tiny bit of gardening so that the gates can be fastened back. Moved the trailer around which is a pain in such a tight space and involved unhitching it with the vehicle and it making a right angle then getting to the other side of it and rehitching again at a right angle before being able to put it where I wanted it.
Helped W with a rather large hand washing up and cooked my dins, a curry, while she cooked hers, kidneys in a cream and brandy sauce with a few other bits. Scorched the Naaan bread a bit!
Buit we did allow ourselves to indulge in quite a bit of email correspondence and chatting!
And we don't have Frog telly, it is total poop!
Glad to be home. Seems lately Tuesday is ramen night
I did indeedHope you njoy it...
