I do too, it's a big bugre an all, I even have one of those magnetic wristbands.

But, typically it is full of stuff and sits in the left hand rear locker.

Rolleyes doesn't cover it really!!!

Typically I would use it for small bits. But for things as big as wheel bolts etc I just park them in a"safe" place.

This is only the second time in my life I lost a locking wheel nut socket.

The other time it was for the D1 300tdi. I searched like mad, even raked up all the gravel, sifted through it and put it all back. Bought a noo one and a few years later just suddenly saw it sitting there on top of the gravel, not far from where I had looked, if not actually in the area. Flipped me off a bit I don't mind saying!!

Im missing a couple of these trays fink they might be stuck to someones motor 🤣 🤣

Morning All. :D
A little lie-in this morning :)
Rained a bit overnight and very wet out there now. :(
Good job we did the mowing on Friday and painted the fence yesterday. :)
Not looking fwd to BBQing the steaks in the rain tonight though. :(
Have a wonderful Sunday (esp. all the Mum's on here). :D

BBQing in the rain is normal here 🤣🤣

I think it's brill that a lot of us have thought about this stuff but maybe not dared to use it. Until one of us does and gives the rest of us the confidence to use it!!;);):):)
I have use the the kits quite a few times over many years, they work well, the first time you use then you tend to go overboard with the freezing and panic a bit trying to rush once you cut the pipe in case it goes but you dont need to,
if you have everything there to hand and prepped ready its a doddle, you can give it a bit more squirt but all the time you have a bit of frost on the pipe at the bottom you are good to go, obviously no good if there is a leak and the water is moving :(

Got a few things to do, paint the other hub for my tranny van so all the new shinny bits can go on.
Replace the seal on the stop cock for the mains in, so outside water will be going off for that it
puts the neebs water off but I aint telling them hope they dont need a poo today. 🤣 🤣
& I might do a tip run. Njoy yer day peeps. :):)

If you have some tallo and seal string you just undo the gland nut pull it up the pipe and wind a bit round and do nut back up.
unfortunately new stopcocks have a rubber gland seal that tends to stick to the shaft and rip when you turn then normmally just tighten gland and its good, if its a very old tap then they are asbestos string and talo.

Tip runs!
Huh!
I always save that till toosdi. Weekend it's rammed and there's a long queue, Mondi they empty all the "dumpster" things which takes ages and they lock you out till they are changed over, Toosdi things R back to normal.

But it helps to be retired and able to choose when you go! ;)

Can't you use your supadupa noo freezing stuff the mains side of the stopcock? Or is the pressure too much for it?

Dry here at the mo but W wants to go out and "supervise" me tying the grapevine up. (It always falls on the floor when we are away. The green wire never seems to last.)
She is currently examining bits of joolri frew her noo loupe what I gave her for Xmas and discovering some bits are a lot better than she thought.
We are lucky in that the wimmins at the auction house who makes up the lots often misses things. she has found a Bucherer ladies cocktail watch is worth a ton more than she paid for it. I think there is a touch of Fagin about her as she never wants to sell much she just likes to keep it and wear some of it.

Collectors! Who'd have em!? (Says he with 3 Discos!)

Have a lovely Mum's day!!:):):)

Ours has big bays & a driver with machine with a big scooping bucket cleaning up all the time all. No need to freeze
the pipes as its simple to turn off the water from the street. :) All done now. Now whats next...
