I am pleased to have made my first part on the Boxford lathe.
It isn't for me but for a friend.
It is a little alignment tool to allow a shaft collar to be aligned with a bottom bracket cup and welded to it.
I thoroughly enjoyed it and it’s the first real thing made on the Boxford.
A piece of 30mm round bar fits snug inside the cup, the 18mm section fits snug inside the hole in the cup, and the protruding boss is about 12.5mm long and 16.99 mm diameter to fit the 17mm shaft collar.
All very much certain to ensure perfect alignment.
