Found that ad again, after a heck of a lot of looking and having to persuade Faceache that i was no longer located in Mazamet, where I haven't been since the end of September.
When the bean counters decided the metric equivalent would be slightly smallerAny one know when wall tiles went metric please ??
Must be quite a long tuime ago, they've been like that since I started tiling in the French place in 2008.Any one know when wall tiles went metric please ??
Phew, just got locked out of LZ for a minute too!
I am now locked out of Nextdoor. this has happened before, so they "know" me maybe they'll sort it.
(Some bright spark on Nextdoor suggested "clear cookies" so I cleared my whole history, that just beggared things even further, which it has never done before.
Not having a good day!
anyway all the stuff I am trying to do ain't working, and I have other more urgent stuff to do as we have visioters coming at the weekend so I need to get a oparticular job to a point where my s-i-l can help with summat I can't do on my own.
So flipping FB will have to wait.
Lovely looking gaff. Yours or Fambly's?Stripping wallpaper from ceilings today. Twenty foot straight drop to the entrance hall. Prolly should've had someone else around just in case.

Did you ‘accidentally‘ get locked in with them?
It is negative, thankfully. Just 'man flu'
Appreciated, but thats not the same tbh. I'd be in the same boat with that task. Luckily I now have a worktop elf with the outfit I'm working with.Well done.
You are one of the people I am jealous of.
I have spent most of the day trying to make templates for a work top I am trying to fix. Bt the time I have worked my way from one end to the other and marked around a piece of trunking, the end cut, if I were to make it seems impossibly angled from the front to the back.
you do more in one day than I could do in a fortnight.
Hats off to you.
I must have measured each angle and each length 10 times.
How the flip can I get it so wrong?
Early seventies mebbe? Metricaferation anorl that..When the bean counters decided the metric equivalent would be slightly smaller
Neither mate. Is the old Queens Hotel, close to the equally old (closed) railway station.I think Queen Vik changed lines there to get to Stokes Bay and thereon to Osbourne House on the Ashtray. That line ran behind the house i grew up in.Lovely looking gaff. Yours or Fambly's?
Take care MOL.It is negative, thankfully. Just 'man flu'
Dan, you da man.Our house-guest got to see his kids tonight.
They came here after school and stayed for dinner and a film and then went home.
Some of the heat and the hate is diminishing from the Mum, and she knows her kids want to see their Dad.
They were scheduled to be here tomorrow, but they (the kids) insisted on today.
We may have them tomorrow too.
This isn't the quiet retired life I had planned on, but hey stuff happens I guess.
mebbe it's wobot-flu because all the chips came from Wuhan?Take care MOL.
While you're resting perhaps you might give an update on the goddamn wobot man!
Tenterhooks down ere!
