May be? C'mon prof, fess up!Different in what way? Not that I know much about them. I thorrt they were a simple 4x4, a bit like a Rav 4 but I am not in the slightest "up" in modern cars. I have people I know who use Jimnys and they rate them.

And how do I know exactly what @kevstar 's missus is lookin to drive next?
Does she want a 4x4? A Mini wasn't one of those. But both suggestions are 4x4. I know a coupla blokes with wives/gfriends who rate their Jimnys.
I do not a have a crystal ball, so stop knockin me for just puttin it our there!
Do you have a betterer suggestion?

We used to have a rav about it was a great motor iirc it was a d4d. It belonged to the daughter of the chap
who owned the local Toyota dealership it had all the extras & side steps bull bar fancy body kit ect We got it at when it
needed its fist mot. Cant remember why I sold it. ??
The ones I looked at today had rusty undercarriages
One was a lovely motor full leather ect underneath slabberedwith underseal. Well she liked it nice grey metallic paint, all ive got on the way home is......can I not treat the rust like

She did want a Jiminy but they are very expensive & im not paying 9k plus for her to not give a toss about it as she
wont look after it. There are a few older ones, off road prepped maybe I should get her one one them
At least she wont kerb the wheels..

Yup lol but I dont want to lay under a motor & start to peal off the black goo they have sprayed all over it.
wire brush it treat it then coat it. It takes about a week to get it done properly stuff that.
Ive looked at fl2s, the one I liked has a deposit on it. But the same chap has this...............
Flawless paintwork, 124k miles, mot oct full service history, all docs 2 keys ect Price is 6.5k
Mot advisory .....undersealed !!!
The white one I looked at is nice probably better maintained than most. Cheap too.

My missus suffers with much the same problem. She wants to go from A to Z without passing through B,C, D etc.
Do motors from round your way suffer massively with underbody rust? Like the ones from the Channel islands which alway have very low mileages but are rusty as heck due to the sea air?

Show us some pics of the off road ones. But £9 k is a lot to pay for a 3 cylinder car!
