I'm waiting for it to stop so I can go bolt on the swivel with everything attached.. took the quicker and heavier option of building it all up in my garage then when the rain stops i'll go throw it on.. but no luck here! just keeps rainingAfternoon all....

Kinema, I believe from the French "kinématograph" and follows on from other words that incorporaterd "Kine" such as "kinetograph" and "kinetoscope". Obviously the "kine" part comes from some word for movement as in "kinetic", and "graph" for writing or maybe drawing as in "graphic" or any others you may care to mention.Stan incoming with some ribald rising organ quip..

Hilarious to think someone managed to invent the movie camera before inventing the projector, but yes they did!

Took the Frogs to invent the projector, the Lumière brothers.
As "lumière" means light, I wonder what they would have done if their names had been "Son" (sound), invented the tape recorder???
Anyway, they did all get it together in the end to produce the famous "Son et lumière" so beloved of the Frogs, where they flood light buildings, play music and drone on about 'em.
Nothing to do with pipes coming out of the ground!

I think there must be a God!!!
W just got me to try some footwear on that she has got me for Christmas.
I have feet that are two continental, or one UK, size different.
So I had a look at them and the left one is 44, which is fine for my bigger foot, then looked at the right one and it is 43!!
So only half a size too big for my right foot.
HILARIOUS!!!!!
