Yes we have the cherry tree shade and our summer kitchen. This is by the pool so we can get out and sit. Maybe we will sit out a bit more and may even have an excuse to turn the pool lights on:).

Nice!!
I think you said that yours was once a school building or summat?
We are lucky in that the original design which we just altered a bit, already came with two covered patios and a loggia.
We altered the design so that the loggia was big enough for us to eat meals on so from upstairs we could really admire the view. Brekker and the like.
The patio directly outside the living room is accessed by two double French windows, and the roof extends over it so the sun in the winter doesn't come into the room at all, despite it being south facing. But it isn't all that wide, so we put a table on it wiv an ole in the miggle so we can stick a sun umbrella through it to give us just a bit more shade.
The pation under the loggia is nice and deep so very easy to use.

We never sit under the trees, even though we have so many of them! Mad. The two weeping willows have grown together so it/they are massive, but it is some way from the house, there is no view from it/them and the rotating washing line is now partly under it, which ain't so great as birds....... well you can imagine!

I'd move it except it is set in concrete, a massive bit of... and.....
Well you know, CBA and live with it!!!

You cant cut them :vb-groan2: :vb-groan2:

You could get more for them as they are and buy new for what you need and have some change, for a dram or takeaway:)
Well unless they are a really funny small width/height. But as lots of Boaty peeps up your way sure they would be snapped up.

You'd think!
But as they were free.....
I bet he has all the angles covered!!

Bloody good job well done!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
We are a bit barmy, our Range cooker has 8 rings, so we only use one half at a time, covering the other half with a towel. Only use the other bits when we have a big dinner party. I love cooking on gas but W hates cleaning it, so we have those silver paper looking things to go under the rings to catch spillages. Cheap and work very well, easily washed and replaced.
But W tries to get me to not fry with it much! Have to put thingies over the frying pan to "catch" the fat, which don't work very well.
This doesn't mean I don't clean it too, she is just convinced she does it better. But since she has been "hors de combat" and I have been doing the domestics, she's started noticing things like the fact that the worktops and draining area are always clear etc.

Sooo.....
We got an induction hob when I did up the UK kitchen. Thort it would be much easier to clean.

Nope, we have to keep it permanently covered with stuff even while cooking on it to give it a chance of ever coming properly clean and that is without ever burning anything on it.

Mind you we might be just a tad hyper about what "properly clean" means!!

Can you still get "Shiny Sinks" as that is the only stuff I have ever managed to find works on stainless steel ones. We are fast running out over here and it goes off in the bottle.:(:(:(
We use the paste 🍜🍲🍛
