This morning I have declared my noo garage roof finished. Apart from a couple of small snags - a bubble or two under the membrane where I tried to do too much in one go where it overlaps the old membrane on the tool store. And a bit of black paint needed on a short bit of recycled flashing, to match the new.
:ttiwwp: Been waiting on a chance to use that 🤣🤣

Hello all!
This morning was shopping day and I kept bumping into people, which was niuce. Discovered that the chemist is also mad keen on Landies and (@Shippers will be pleased) has a forward control that he bought from the dutch forces with onlu 11k kilometeres on the clock. He, as all of my fellow landy peeps over here, are no longer getting bits from the UK as the import duty knocks it completely out of the park. :(
Dunno how much of an effect it'll have on peeps like Paddock when all people from the schengen region pack in buying their stuff.
😢😢😢

I am with @Shippers Paddocks do the business end and it comes straight to the door.

The duty may be a bit bit you also have to add up the price without VAT, so it doesnt work out to bad :).

I spent some time on the lathe trimming down one of the 2WD units screw-in adapters.
This has allowed me to insert the 2WD unit into the rear axle assembly and push the half-shafts in.
If you look closely, you can see that a washer has been inserted in the LH side and sits between the adapter and the inner bearing race.
There was not quite enough clearance to slip a similar washer on the RH side and I will make the washers thinner so that both can be inserted during assembly.

Even without keyways or roll-pins, turning the 2WD sprocket(s) makes both half-shafts turn (purely through friction fit). :D

What does "LandyZone - Land Rover Forum would like your permission to enable push notifications. " mean?
Not willing to click on anything wivout knowing it is safe!;)

Dont know but I clicked it cos I am Brave Stupid:confused:,
To me push means it updates as it happens, so you dont need to refresh.
I have also noted that if "you" hide your online status you don't appear on the "latest activity" although alerts are sent out, I have noticed it with a few of @My Old Landy s posts.

It's for push notifications to your browser or mobile device. So you'll get a notification on phone/computer if you have a message or a thread you are following has been updated. I just set it up now, and your message about it, was the very first push notification sent, alerting me to this post!

I'm working on my wooden truck cab
Decided to throw the plans I made away and go for a 'something that looks a bit like' rather than a perfect replica.
Can always start again after the show which is two weeks away.
No glass or interior going in, be happy just to get the shape right

That's funny.
I don't look at my phone for LandyZone and as far as I was aware, whenever an alert goes up on my top right of the LZ screen on my laptop I also get an email. I get lots of email notifications.
So it is strange you got anything from me as I hadn't clicked on it. I just asked the question whether I should or not!
I'll click on it but can you tell us how to turn it off if it clogs our mailboxes?
There, just clicked on it a second ago.
Rereading your post i guess you meant that you had set it up for yourself and that was what you got, an alert saying I had posted soemthing!
OK!

OK!

If you don’t want your e-mail box overloaded, click on the thread and unwatch then watch again without e- mail.
then it will only show up in your alerts box.

Well..... on another tack, I have been GARDENING.

Yes you read right;)

As W can't do it I am stuck with it.
She supervised from the "au vent" (a covered patio).
I planted out her bean plants that she had brought on from seed in the polytunnel.
Out of about 30 seeds 25 have sprouted. Which I am told is a good number.
So weeded the metal box bed thing and popped them in the ground, as I finished the heavens opened.
Which apparently is a "good thing". (Only joking, even I know that watering the plants in is what you do,,, shucks!)

Stopped raining now.

But still overcast.

Last night we had a thunderstorm that went on for ages, so switched off the hub, unplugged it and went to bed.
Must feed the mutts now, then us.
Have a good evening now!:):):)
