Took bliddy ages to drill that hole in the tiled floor.
Longer than any other part of the operation.
Still all plumbed in now and working apart from the need for a new flexi to get the watter to the valve.
(Tested it wiv water from a watering can.! ;) )
Oh and I need to get around to fitting the seat.

Have a good evening folks!!:):):):)

Tis a right shame, synonymous with quality and longevity, which is prolly why it went bust.
My big machine has a chinese motor. 😢😢😢
Just found this on why they went bust.
Such a shame, but the management were real bartenders to their workforce and managed to stick it to them right to the very end.
Have to feel massively sorry for the workers and wish the peeps running it could be shoved in jail.
But it won't happen.
😢😢😢

Want to come and sort this bloody thing had to cut the plasterboard to get it out only to find they installed then boarded it so all the screws are through noggins..all seals dry and hard but still leaking from cistern into pan...it's a bucket of s.hite and parts hard to find can't even rip it out and replace with a cheepo as it's a floating pan and all the pipes in the wrong place and no budget to alter as the roof still not finished and they want to come down for 3 months after leaving it empty for years...

Ment to add pic...

So over 50 miles an hour then. That is a fair old breeze!!
The vent d'Autan round here often blows between 50 and 60 mph.
And that has been known to blow tiles off roofs.
Hope your place is safe!;)
We're in a slight valley but have a lot of trees so a wind break before thay built Venice the wind was not a problem here but thay cut all the oak trees down a long the coast and sailed them to Venice and used for piles for the buildings the stone came from here also 😯

Sounds no fun at all.
But I do like you calling it a "bucket of sh:!te"
By a "floating pan" do you mean one of those pans that don't sit on the floor?

Talk about posy rubbish! I'd never trust one of those to take the weight of me or even my missus!
Maybe buy a cheapo ornery bog then sit it up on a pedestal/platform of some kind so the outlet pipe connects, then tell em it's temporary until they can make up their mind what they really want.
Feel for you, bud!;)

The Venice issue is very interesting.
We too are in a valley and it obvs depends on which way the wind blows, but we put up a line of trees so we are protected on all three sides of our plot.
It does make a difference.;)

Normally thay have a metal surround frame and the pan is bolted to it.what about a Geberit looks about the same size?
It does have a metal frame it slots into but they fitted the f.ucker then plumbed it then plasterboarded it f.ucking nightmare...this is the roof they want sorted before they arrive in June...

Yes but the builders have a block of wood at the front for it to sit on says it all!!...waste pipe is to low to fit a cheepo as it goes through wall and they wont pay to sort pipework.. a new cistern is 139€ if in stock!...
