I was unclear maybe. I said "We don't really want TV over here", cos "over here" it's carp. Have you ever watched Frog TV?
Anyway it's all academic as I said, about being charged. But previously, under French law you could be charged just for having equipment capable of receiving a TV signal, any signal, and what's worse the Frog poliss had the right to enter your property to search. so we are/were very careful and bought an F off big monitor to watch DVDs and the Humax box was techincally a bit risky.

(Also, don't tell W but we waste enough time watching stuff over in the UK without doing it over here too.!! )
That's why the Swedes I know speaks English good like I am. Carp telly :vb-irock: Least that what they say..

No, don't be sorry, this makes stuff yet clearer.
I do remember that about the Beeb moving their sat (beam) as our Brit neighbours moaned abaout it until they sorted it somehow. We are a long way south in France. In the Montagne Noire. We do have a wok on the roof, in the UK, we got it so that W could watch frog TV to try and improve her French, it was a rotating one, but it got busted (my fault, I rotated it too far and it hit the gable end and got stuck, busted the motor or the drive or summat) and is now stuck on one satellite. Also we don't have two wires down to the plug in the wall of our living room so we couldn't easily change between the satellite one and the regular TV one. (We don't have cavities in outside walls, wood framed an all that). A bloke spent two days trying to sort us out and only managed to partially do that. He did say we could get some kind of connector to allow us to use the one cable, he said a simple Y connector wouldn't work, something to do with "induction". (Like in a transformer? I have no idea.) so we just gave up on it. This was in the days before set top boxes and the huge range of channels you can watch now.
You can still get the splitter boxes verry simple to instal just F1 connectors smaller than a box of matches thay stop signals getting mixed up 2,3,or 4 out lets from one cable so you could have 4 sat dishes on one and tv 📡📡📡

Today I started spring cleaning for me tratter. Vac cleaning, carpets n sound proofing out and aired, slide tracks for rear windows de-mossed, rear wheel off the back door - door washed n waxed. Door hinges greased. All ready for a proper wash in a day or two. Lost one of the fir tree fixings for one of the mats, replaced with a spare one and then found the missing one, exactly where I put it. Thought it had been vac'd up. And put an air freshener in (freebie from 0pie oils). Now smells like the inside of a hippo -----:vb-big-pink-valentine:

On a td5 110 does the fuel tank breather terminat in the back wheel arch with a small filter on it as when tank is full and going up are steep white road I get a leak from the top of tank right hand side if this is the breather it has started to perish so it would be the same at the connection at tank end was going to have a look but ****ed down all day and windy with the bora

Started on trailer, bit o green paint then new lights to go on tomorrow

Doggy needs a bit chopped off one ear to get rid of a big nasty lump. At least the vet didn't see any cancerous cells, so that's a plus. (Cocker so she'll look a bit funny!)
At 15 years old, crossed fingers.
Nice sunny day today!
W tells me she has seen on some news that the rescue places are flooded out with doggies owners can't cope with, and lots are Cockers.
WHAT??????? Nothing easier to look after and sooooooooooooo affectionate.
@gstuart have you seen this? May be of interest to you.
Anyway that's me for the day.

hi buddy

many thks for the heads up, alas I tried several rescue centres and have been told by several members of staff inc the rudest of them all the rspca that I can’t have a dog

Told that , due to being on benefits I can’t afford the upkeep vet bills or food , have grandkids under 5 x years old, living on my own is high risk in case I have an accident or fall the dog can be in harms way and without supervision , the list went on so basically gave up after the sheer outrageous rudeness

with candy now being 17 and doing well I of course understand she won’t be here for ever and can’t even begin to imagine life without her , seeing it’s just been her and I for the last 10 x years ive never been so close to a pet as I have with her , know it will break my heart when she goes

at the time was looking for a dog this time not a bitch , a jack russell, , etc , something a bit smaller than a lab , Usero see a lot of cocker spaniels at work and indeed are gorgeous dogs and would adore one but expensive ame to be honest I’ve started to look at breeders

did explain to rescue centres I’ve got my own vehicle to take a dog to a wooded area that has rivers, streams , etc , well away from roads, vet care cover, neighbours that have my door key in case of emergencies, along with 3 x extra bags of 15 kg eukanuba so not cheap supermarket rubbish , ie , if I had to go into hospital , plus been around dogs for 55 x years , owner of dogs for 40 x years , private fenced in 40 foot square garden , home virtually 24/7 , all that was ignored and simply insulted again and again

Indeed would adore another pup but alas it seems there not interested rehoming to someone who's on disability benefits who can offer them a secure loving home

hope ur good mate along with of course ur dog

Mornin all.
Tratter not ready yesdi so had the joys of public transport home. To be honest the train and bus were both clean and in good shape and the timings linked pretty well too. Only took me twenty minutes more than usual. Downside was the general public. Rude and generally icky.

Taking the motybike then today, it can be left in the factory until I can fetch it home again.

Have a good day 🐛
