Bit fed up really.
Measuring up for new worktop. Too many angles either just over or just under 90 degs.
Don't have a proper protractor.
Grr Grr!
Trouble is the space it has to "slide" into is a rhombus but with the longer edge at the window wall. So it won't slide in.
Grr Grr!
I fink I can get away wiv it by making the sides parallel and using the thickness of the tiles at the awkward end to cover any gap I will have to leave. The cut out for the trunking is the same, a right pain.
I am using the old worktop as a template but I'll be modifying it as it was a right bar tender to fit and that was with thinnner tiles on the walls.
I always over think stuff like this.
Tis a failing. One of many.
Still at least we now have a few gardeners possibly looking to to do the work when we are away, courtesy of Nextdoor. It does have its uses.
Fingers crossed.
Have a lovely evening folks!

Must admit I was wondering why being one nut short makes driving more difficult.
Maybe his underclatters being sore makes moving his legs and feet painful.
Anyway, whatever, my sympathies to him and hoping he is on the mend.;););)

C@use they cut into my groin then pulled my cl@nger out th@t w@y  so everything hurts. o_O

That sounds really strange to me. Age has nothing to do with tax, it has everything to do with how much you earn. And (as I understand it) at retirement age you no longer have to pay NI contributions. He needs to take a look on the HMRC website or seek advice from an accountant.

Been thinking about this. His new tax code will take account of his state pension income (about £10k). As the state pension is paid without tax deduction, the tax is collected via his tax code which is used by his employer. This puts all the tax due - from his state pension and his employment - through the employer. So it will seem like he is being overtaxed. But the nett result is the same as if he paid tax separately on his earnings and pension. This is how it works for my state pension and company pension.
