Not very happy! (Can't swear on here burt I'd like to!)
Have spent most of yessdi artenoon and this day from 11 0'clock until now trying to fix our visa applications. They have a new and pointless system where you are supposed to fill in a form each on the France-visas. gouve.fr site which, once done tells you you cannot click on "send" util you have an appointment, which you supposed to make through TLScontactcentre.
We had problems with these idiots last year, couldn't do it online so rang up and eventually got one.
This time we have been trying all this time. you now have to fill in yet more application forms with exactly the same info on them, and we cannot cklick on the final box, "visa type". We want long stay 3 to 6 month visas, you can obviously only have one a year but you are allowed to apply for them up to 3 months before you go, which is what we are trying to do. But the box just comes up with a psurious warning saying you can't.
The bods on the end of the phone say "Oh it is a computer glitch, clear your browser history, updat to the latest Chrome or use aniother machine".
We have done all of this so last time I spoke to someone i finally managed to get him to agree that we are allowed to apply but he can't do anything about it so he'll talk to someone and get back to us.
that was 45 minutes ago and of course the office is now closed.

Well the day ended with us no further on towards the visas.
Over about 8 phone calls to the wretched TLScontact thing, we got, "you must update your Chrome", "clear your browser history", "try on another computer", "yes there is a computer glitch at our end, just alter (he meant falsify) the date of the end of the last visa", "no you can't apply for a new 6 month visa until the end of the 6 month period since the end of your last visa, and no you can't apply up to 3 months before you want to travel" This despite it saying expressly on the online form that you could.
We are off out to Bath for lunch and the theatre tomoz so I will let the steam slowly drain from my ears before having another go at them on Friday.
Then we'll have to find some big guns to fire at them.
