.... that I had my first tratter bump today, well I was stopped at some lights and a lady in a Citreon bumped me from behind. I found it quite exciting (I'm not a crash for cash person so there was no swapping of details or anything). I only got a cracked tow bar ball plastic cover. The reg plate and bumper of the lady's didn't come off lightly. She was alright though, which is the main thing :)

Way back in 1975 I had a little citroen ami, a sort of up market 2cv. Was driving alongside Loch Lomond early one morning in winter, road was an ice rink. Just outside Luss the traffic ahead came to a halt while cars were struggling to get up a slight iced over incline so I stopped in the queue. Next car coming up behind me was a hillman imp, lady driver and iced over windscreen. She didn't see the traffic had stopped, no view beyond the windscreen, she slammed into the back of my citroen doing some damage but not a lot. Her car, being rear engined and nowt up front ended up being the shortest hillman imp in Scotland. Total write off.

Been watching old episodes of Last of the Summer Wine in the afternoons recently. Love the humour but especially like seeing Wesleys tratters. A selection of late series 3 lwb pick ups, the real deal. In Wesleys own words, "She's a real beast. A Ferarri in overalls". Nuff said, sums it up nicely.

Back when i wiz eighteen my girl had an imp. Had a bag of cement inna front end to stop it getting blown about onna M27. We loaded it up with another couple to go camping inna Noo Forest an found out the clutch was fooked. Some way from camp onna way back from shoppin we cum to a hill. Me an the other fella got out to push it. Car crested the hill an the bint kept goin! Two hours later we trudged into camp, the girls couldn't unnerstand why we wuz a bit grumpy... Weren't that far were it? I'm much calmer these days :D
