...that I have spent some time trying hard to get the system balancing correct on my Central Heating.
I know its meant to be 11° drop across each radiator and 20° across the boiler but its not as easy as it looks everything seems to affect everything else.
So it truly is a "balancing-act".

Ta, I'll give it a try. I abandoned the attempt after I started erasing the knob markings on the front panel. Wife hasnt noticed yet.

Just get it as clean as you can with normal stuff then use oven cleaner for the toughest burnt on carbon sh!t. You just have to watch over it a bit.
(when I am furious about stuff, I calm down by cleaning the kitchen, to within an inch of its life. This only happens about once every two years. )

After numerous attempts with different products, Ive found dishwasher tablets disolved in a bowl of hot water works well. The last time I cleaned it I made up a product with ammonia, hydrogen peroxide and petrol. That was a bit of a mistake cos it turned my hair blue, it took weeks for it to grow out.

Oven cleaner deffo works but sometimes you have to leave it on overnight.
I've posted before, on here I think, about using those silver sheet things from Lakeland that catch the stuff that would otherwise muck it up. We use those on our gas hob.
