Have you never had to sew a button on or take up a pair of trews, or take them in, or mend a split ass of a pair?
I had to teach my flat mates how to do all this lot!
No wimmins among them and I have even had to teach a gurl how to sew a button on.
Thort all matelots could sew.
"Make and mend" and all that?!
