Is that the last cut ov the year?
@Brown sed we shuddunt cut it too short over winter or it will get cold and could die.

Interestingly, a lot of horticultural stuff gets attributed to me that I can't recall saying. Grass is a lot harder to kill than that. You could go over it with a rotavator in the autumn and it'll be looking green again by next spring.

Need to cut some kitchen cabinet boards today but always get splintering on edges,
I do put tape on both sides before measuring and cutting but can never get a nice clean cut
I'm using a very fine hand saw
If it is a plywood then cutting the ply with a utility knife on either side of the workpiece can often prevent splintering. ;)

I try to organise my sawing so the teeth go inwards on the side you're going to see, and break out on the side that's facing away. So if there's any splintering or bits of laminate come off, it's less noticeable.
The alternative is to make furniture out of old floor joists and reclaimed scaffolding boards. Any splintering merely adds to the rustic appeal.

It's for the camper van, making a cabinet for the gas bottle with cooker on top, it has to match the other cabinets and worktop
And it splinters both sides
