Well got up very late today as the weather is meh, too wet to do any more jointing. (whoopee!)
Will be orf later to pick up another bag of the stuff. Wonderin what @Hippo will be using and if it is cheaper int UK?
Then back out again for a meal and a larf with friends and neighbours down the farmer's market!
Very muggy here, obvs.
Does any one else get awful wind after eating hard cheese? Kept me up, or rather woke me up and din't let me get back to sleep for ages.:(:(:(
 
Got the small amount of waxoyling done on me rear cross member, re-fastened the rear body supports, and got the noo shiny mudflap brackets on. Must have got enough waxoyl in 'cos its dripping out onto the driveway :D. And got to use the high pressure spray can which I bought seven years ago, for the first time. It is a million times better than the schutz can spray gun I used last time round.

I was disappointed with the finish - some brush marks spoiling it. But that is the choice I made, didn't want the hassle of masking up for a spray job for such a small area. And the bad area is behind where the tow hitch drop plate bracket is - or will be when it goes back on. The main object of the job was to give it good corrosion resistance, tratter rear cross members being prone to such horrors.

Too right. Mine got so bad I had to have it replaced with a galv one (couldn't afford the full chassis). I rattle canned the lot wif satin Hammerite and then lanoguarded the whole thing.

You probably know Shell Bay, but for the others it's a nudist beach the other side of the entrance to Poole Bay, easily got to via the chain ferry.
When we lived in Poole we used to go there quite a bit.
Some bloke with a gun cos some other bloke is having a J Arthur?:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Did you dilute it wiv white spirit or use it neat?

I do like Black Hammerite smooth but it is a really sh!tter how fussy it is about getting a second coat on. Once first on it's a great finish.
Then you see the bits you should have recoated as they get just a teeny weeny bit rusty!:(:(
