Morning all.
according to the "météo" no more rain for a fortnight and today will be the last day under 30 degs for the same period.
We may just have to use the pool!;):D:D:D
W is giving me the betting shop odds on all the lovely peeps dying to be PM. :rolleyes:

I don't think there's a set time period.
My Son & his wife have had it and were fine less than a week later; another friend caught it a year ago and still has "Long-Covid" and feels tired all the time. :(

..... that I am beyond "miffed". :mad:
My son owes me over £14k (fancy wedding, home improvement loans, etc. etc.) and the promise was made that this money would be repaid when he remortgaged and took equity out of the house.
Remortgage has happened but miraculously, while there was money to pay off all the people that will take him to court if he doesn't pay AND were charging him 28.9% P.A. interest, there is "no money available" to repay me.
We have had "words", his mother jumped in to defend him and I am just beyond "angry".
I have told him he won't see another penny in help from me until he settles all the debt including the tiny 3.8% interest I was charging him.
You just don't screw your family over. /rant.

I have never lent kids money, always gave them what I had to help out knowing that I would never get any back, I know how hard it was when I was very young.
Kids will take the pi55 though knowing there's no penalty for not paying back. Exception is my grand daughter who used to borrow a few quid now and then when she was broke, I always got it back soon as she got paid
 
Afternoon folks:).

We took the visitors back yesterday and the flight was only delayed by 10mins:).
Went early and stopped for some grub down at the waterfront first, packed out:).

Got back late afternoon and looked at the pool o_O looks low, more than normal evap, checked today in the pump room and leaking "O" ring on the chlorinator so change for the other and all good:).
We were supposed to have 70% chance of some rain today, Nope that didnt happen so will have to topup the pool with the hose tomorrow.

Oh and we took the day off:D.

I don't understand why Mrs. Clarke is giving you a hard time over it:(.
Is the remortgage in his name only? (sorry to be nosey). Cos "her debts have now been shared but not his;).
Took me years to get my house back. With loads of bills and ccjs. I considered it worth the effort in the end.

She sounds a bit like my 1st wife. Tell him to move out. But she has to pay the bills as she is the 1 there if she doesn't want her flat, it wont be long before she falls behind, then moves in with her fancyman.

Its hard to do and not a nice situation. It will be a rough few years sorry mate:(.

The remortgage is is both their names. The property will be sold when the youngest kid is 18.
He's been stupid enough to go guarantor for HER new flat; she will fail and I won't bail him out wen they come calling for his guarantor money.
Just sick of the abusive and disrespectful behaviour TBH.

Good on you. There is no excuse, and I 'd modify that to "won't see another penny from me even after he settles all the debts..." etc.
You could also ask the wife to pay you and then get it back off him...........if she feels so strongly about it.

Funny day today.
Changed the tyre and inner on a wheel barrow that has needed it for ages. (Fiddly feckin job.):rolleyes:
This so we could put the new water bag on it so we can use the water we collect from the roof. Cheaper than using tap water, as every time you open the tap you end up paying sewage as well, obvs.! I got the pump organised and it filled the bag quick as heck.:):):)
Then I found the leak.:mad::mad::mad:
This is what was in the parcel that I had to fight like mad to get hold of over the past week or more. Photo emailed, it is now with their "after sales service".:rolleyes:
FFS!
On the other hand connected a very long hose to the pump and it squirts out like mad, so the pump is more powerful than we thought. Never thought to test it as it was only a cheapo thing bought to just get it out of the underground tank. :):):)
Also fitted a new skimmer filter to the pool. :)
Wifey doing zoom.
Very nearly drinky time!!
Just have to wet the jointing sand W has been doing and then water everything.
